I booked because it was previously a lovely place to stay with good food. I looked forward to the food but I was very disappointed. We sent the burger back and I had to go to Burger King to get something to eat!!!! Overcooked brown cold chips and a greasy non drained burger was a dishonour to the cattle they proudly say that meat came from. The hotel and staff are lovely and I feel sorry for them that they had to deal with this.

Not be able to have a cup of coffee through the coffee machines because they're only accessible for seminars.

The scent in the corridors (I've chose stairs to get my room). Natural enlightening in my room during day. Nice view (on the covered swimming pool)

Unfortunately in the middle of the night the toilet stopcock seemed to go in overflow mode lading to a continual flushing. Although when we reported it at reception they offered us new room but did mean moving in the middle of the night.

Everyone was very friendly. The breakfast had a good selection of food and the coffee was excellent.

Food was expensive small and not great quality, waiting staff seemed unhappy and everything was an effort, the bar staff however were great. We felt like an inconvenience in the restaurant. If you could tut in French I'm sure they would have.

Hotel is dog friendly,so am I, but irresponsible dog owners should be educated to not leave their dogs unattended in their room !!! Dog was barking and howling until 22.30!! Staff offered to give us another room, but it is the dog owners who are at fault.

The restaurant was great, but the menu choice was a bit limited for evening meal and portion sizes were small for the salads and pasta considering the price (and the name 'Grande Salade'!). But tasty and the staff team were so friendly and service overall was brilliant.

The common areas were really nice, very modern and with great entertainment for the family - table tennis, table football, gaming, play area as well as swimming pool. The restaurant and lounge area had a really nice design feel.

Room felt a bit tired in terms of decor and the air con unit in our room didn’t work too well. Hopefully the rooms will be updated shortly to match the ground floor area.

Convenient location for overnight stopover with free secure parking. Availability of family rooms, swimming pool and children’s area make it family-friendly. Attractive decor in lobby and restaurant area of hotel. Comfortable bed. Good quality food in the restaurant both in the evening and for breakfast. Friendly staff.

Over zealous staff at night . Restaurant was nice but overpriced (in my opinion) and after a pit of messing around, my bill was correct.

Long wait at reception due to other guests checking in and only one person working at counter who knew systems the other in training I think. But minor thing really and not staff fault customers all arrive at same time.

The restaurant and drinks were very expensive, one of the male waiters was a bit abrupt and seemed to be rushing people during their meal.

A lady called Maude was very helpful on the evening we arrived, a very nice lady.

Lack of mini bar in either room. Tired state of lift.

We have been here before and love the restaurant and bar and the staff are wonderful. The room was very clean and had a great nights sleep.

The swimming pool is undergoing some maintenance work and was closed during our stay. We only learned this after booking the night. Not a massive issue but a swim would have been greatly appreciated after our 10 hr drive. The restaurant has a whole new card, with a lot of fine products and ingredients, which is appealing. However the hotel positions itself on a family segment - not having fries or anything “kids friendly” is a big gamble :) The ravioles were tasty but a bit soggy.

Perfect location, near the highway. This is not a central hotel, it’s great if you’re driving but not really nice if you’re visiting Chartres. The lobby has been refurbished recently and it gives a fresh look to the hotel. As usual with Novotel, beds are great. Great breakfast buffet, lots of choice of good products.
