Friendly and efficient stopover

In the toillet, wich was separated from the shower, was a terrible smell... The toilet was very closed to the bed and for that reason we were very disturbed. We are disappointed about the owner response to our complaint. He said, I quote "If you don't like it, go to another place. It's your problem that you have a sensitive nose". The only reason we didn't left is because we were with our 6 years old daughter and it was pretty late. The owners's properties should be aware that when we are paying for a service we have the right to receive a good quality of that service in exchange.

We liked the location, the room size and the breakfast.

good location, nice hospitality, a classical set up. The decor is wonderful to combine the modernity and the history. Coffee table books are good to know a lot about Colmar.

The rooms are in a pretty enclosed courtyard where you can sit and they also run a happy hour with drinks in the evening. The bedrooms were modern, beautifully furnished and clean. Parking is also inside and very secure which was important for us. Breakfast was great and the hosts were very attentive. Great location to visit Colmar, but you do need transport.

A relatively small matter, but the shower drain in our unit was VERY slow to drain (but it does...slowly) and had to be careful not to have the standing water leak onto the floor. FYI, Check-In is not until 5:00 (17:00) and the gate allowing you to enter the property for check-in does not allow entry until just prior. Nice place, worth the stay.

Lovely farmhouse setting with a very considerate Host. The rooms are large and have been upgraded with modern conveniences (sinks/shower), and the beds were fine. The Host is very attentive and he puts on a very nice breakfast with breads, cheeses, fruits, and of course cafe/espresso.

The Check-in time was much too late (1700) which was quite inconvenient. The location was also not great because there was not even one restaurant or cafe in the town that we could walk to for dinner. If you want to eat, you must go to Colmar.

the room was very nice and clean and the decor was lovely. Parking was also convenient with plenty of space to park and store our bikes.

Upon arrival the owner greeted us and he couldn’t be friendlier. The Hotel is small, only five rooms and my family booked three of them so it was perfect. The rooms are decorated in French country with each room having its own beautiful design and decor. The bathrooms are relatively big with large walk in showers. The courtyard couldn’t be any cuter and you are able to purchase drinks in the evening. The breakfast room is small but incredibly cute! They served croissants, chocolate croissants, baguette, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, yoghurts, cereal, water, juices and the best coffee! The rooms and the entire property is very clean and you can see the pride the owners take in it. We stayed three nights and we will definitely be back!! There is no restaurant in the town so make dinner arrangements accordingly.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Despite there being tables outside we couldn’t eat our own food there. There is nothing to do in Bischwihr.

The bit hostile welcome by the host made us feel very unwelcome. We arrived at 22:00 and apparently we had to give the accommodation a call if arriving later than 19:00. Unfortunately, we had overseen this rule in their confirmation. After long drive we arrived at 22:00 and the approach by the host was of an extreme unkind and unwelcome nature. Whilst we were were in the car, before we were checked in, he adressed his frustration to wait so long for us, and called us impolite. For me, running a B&B or guesthouse should be all about hospitality and looking after guests, give them a great experience. For us, this has been an extreme unwelcoming and guest-unfriendly experience. Will not return again.

we had an incident with the owner immediately after arrival . we wanted to have our own tea at the backyard what he acquiesced reluctantly. my spouse throe the teabag into a metal container which already contained some paper assuming it being a garbage bin. the owner started yelling from far away that that metal container was a ' decoration ' piece and shouting at her '' you do not come here for picnic... ''
