Getting directions from front desk was difficult, pool wasn’t open

Some instant cream to go with the coffee in the room. And replace the used coffee.

The location was perfect for May. The walk into town was less than 15 and it was nice to be away from the port hustle and bustle. The view from our balcony was great.

Bed could’ve been more comfortable

Loved the location right on the beach and ability to walk to Calanques. Breakfast was good and restaurant across the street was very nice. I liked the light airiness of our room and the simple decor.

The staff was friendly but not to knowledgeable about the area.

The location across from the sea was top. A short walk to the port added to the easy beach weekend experience. Also the hiking close by was a bonus.

Being my first day in France and traveling from Australia for 35 hours it was so nice to arrive in this hotel and enjoy the terrace over looking the ocean. I would have like the bar and restaurant service to be more attentive however I found out later that is fairly normal.

Nothing special on the facilities. Just a normal hotel. The kingbed is formed with two small beds

Wonderful view over the bay at breakfast ( which was delicious). Lovely room, cool design. Charming lady receptionist. Most comfortable bed of all our hotel bookings on our trip..high quality bedding.

Gap between hotel and beach is a road but that’s being picky as it’s not the hotels fault. Also sea views lovely from terrace.

Overall loved it but some minor points: Communication about parking reservation was a bit difficult. But worked out well in the end. Parking is a bit pricey. You'll have to be a fan of pebble beaches... and the beach right in front of the hotel was extremely packed with people. Well, it was high season and of course not within the hotel's responsibility. We would have appreciated a little fridge in our room. :-) Otherwise, room was well equipped!

Between the booking and our stay I read some other reviews and got slightly alarmed as they were, well, of mixed opinion. But we went and it was the most wonderful stay! Location of the hotel is perfect. Port/city centre with shops, restaurants a 10 min. walk away. Our room (garden view) was just lovely. Overall we liked the casual, beachy decor of the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was high quality and enjoying breakfast on the restaurant terrace with it's stunning sea view was a highlight each day. We also had dinner once at the restaurant and food was good and well executed. A bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion. My daughter got a manicure at the hotel's spa and liked it. Also found it good value for money. Also worth mentioning is the lovingly decorated small pool area connected to the spa. Pool is shallow, so just for refreshing not swimming, but it was a welcomed contrast to the busy public beach, perfect for reading or just dozing off. There is a busy road between the hotel and the beach (busy also in the evening, high season), but we did not find it too annoying. Overall we loved Hotel de la Plage Mahogany and plan to return.
