Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe did have a slightly issue with access to our room using the card, however we notified the staff so hopefully this will be sorted for future guests.
This was our second time staying at the hotel. It's in a great location, the grounds and the rooms are lovely and the staff are very attentive - nothing is too much trouble.

United KingdomThis is a lovely hotel to stay in for a break in charming St Valery sur Somme, in a quiet location yet close enough to the centre of the town. We had a bright and sunny room, spotlessly clean, well-appointed. The breakfast was good, with high quality ingredients (including smoked trout, a range of cheeses, scrambled eggs, Viennoiseries, etc). There is also a very comfortable lounge to relax in. All the staff were very welcoming and especially helpful when we had a problem with our car, which they helped us to get sorted out. They also provided good recommendations for local restaurants and helped with booking these (for many, booking is essential).

United States of AmericaThis property is gorgeous and well located with a fun history. The room, although small was beautiful and the large bathroom was great! This is the kind of place where you should stay multiple nights to be able to enjoy all the downstairs rooms they have to relax in!

United KingdomNothing!
Easy to find with a warm welcome after a long drive with easy parking, and they have 2 EV chargers to use (best to reserve). The Receptionist showed us to our room, and also gave very clear instructions on how to access the hotel later that night using the gate key code and our room key for the side entrance. Our room was lovely with a large comfortable bed and good views. It was also very quiet and peaceful for our one night stay.

GermanyThere's not conditioning, only fan in the room (bladeless Dyson): it was silent but not provide enough freshness during a hot day.
Great family hotel in an old manor. The house is very beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The territory of the hotel is closed during the night so it's safe. The village is small, cozy and have street with good cafes and little shops.

United KingdomAs the hotel is perfectly sensibly run on minimum staff levels , the security arrangements for entry/ exit quite challenging for older people . The single greeting staff member could spend longer ensuring everything well understood and practiced

Belgium- During the summer, the rooms can be quite hot (no AC). - No restaurant (except for breakfast).
- The location (very close to the city center), you can easily park your car and visit by foot. - The whole property is very well decorated. - The suites are worth it and good value for money.

United KingdomBreakfast was very good, but a little pricey. As another reviewer mentioned, the night entrance is tricky to open, which we didn’t manage but a friendly night porter rushed out to do it for us.
Great location, a lovely town. Parking obviously a big bonus if it were peak season. Friendly and helpful staff. Nicely decorated and very clean and cosy, good to have a coffee maker in the room (would be nice to have a couple more pods inc decaffeinated for the evening). We would definitely stay again.

United KingdomThe hotel itself is very good, unfortunately we had booked a twin room, which was just as expensive as a double and were shown to Chambre Baptiste, the room when we entered looked great, there was a sofa and a downstairs toilet, with a spiral staircase to the bedroom. However, as we moved in,there came issues. Firstly, you could not get the suitcases up the stairs, not a problem, you would think...when you went upstairs the beds were so small, they were more like children's beds and were about an inch wider than my shoulders....when we were getting ready to go out, then came the real problems, the downstairs had no curtains, just net curtains half way up rhe window nd with lights on, people in the main hotel opposite could see into the room, those in the upper rooms of the hotel, could see in with no problems as the upper windows had no net curtains.. the bathroom was so small, you could not 'get ready' in it, so had to get ready downstairs...especially as upstairs there were no mirrors and a lack of space and electrical sockets....very substandard and not worth the money
The hotel itself is very good, well positioned and with good safe car parking

United KingdomThis hotel, which had opened as recently as June 2022, seemed to me to be to be a seriously missed opportunity to offer an unusual and comfortable boutique hotel. It is rather like staying in a serviced apartment as there is effectively hardly any personal staff involvement. Returning to the hotel after dinner (when incidentally the key card failed to let me into the night entrance until the concierge arrived to sort it out) was like entering a morgue as it felt so deserted and unwelcoming. The hotel, which had clearly been renovated and decorated prior to being opened just a few months beforehand, has some serious shortcomings in terms of design and atmosphere. The bedroom had many shortcomings - bedside light control hard to find and out of reach from the bed; the reclaimed antique basin had no plug and also had both of the taps marked “cold” in English (which is misleading and dangerous as the hot water is very hot indeed); bedside table was wobbly with loose legs; the one chair provided was too low to be able to write at the desk table. No kettle was provided in spite of it being indicated on the booking form. In spite of multiple efforts I was unable to make the Nespresso coffee machine work. No shelf or tray for products in the shower which was not a power shower. Small but annoying difference in the floor levels of the bedroom and bathroom. It is surprising that designers or owners never seem to stay in one of the bedrooms so that they are aware of these kinds of shortcomings! Breakfast the first morning was incredibly uncomfortable as the dining area was very cold indeed and none of the radiators were working. The scrambled eggs arrived before I had even started to eat my cereal! It seems a real shame that this attractive building which has been converted at obviously considerable expense into what is described as a boutique hotel should so completely fail to offer a friendly, welcoming and comfortable place in which to stay.
Good, secure car parking. Comfortable bed.
