Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The rooms were oddly shaped, like, polygons and were super cramped. The cleaning staff did not speak any English so even after telling them to replace the water and the towels, they did not do so. They also took away a bath towel leaving us one short.
The location was great, just opposite a subway stop and about 10 minutes from the Eiffel tower. One of rooms actually had a view of the tower. The check-in was smooth and the hotel was in a quiet alley with loads of cafes/restaurants around. The night staff at the hotel was super helpful with some late supplies for me and I was really grateful.

Bed was a little low and the pillow could have been thicker.
Staff were brilliant, the location was perfect 10-15 minute walk to the Effiel tour. The hotel was very clean.

7 minutes walk to Eiffel Tower. 1 minutes walk to train station. Nice food options within 2-5 minutes. Not a high end place but best bang for your buck!!! Staff is nice. Room little small but manageable for two people. Washroom is small too but not something to worry about! You will find all hotels in this vicinity with similar sizes of beds and washrooms as these are old buildings converted into hotels. Lift can accommodate two people with one large bag and one hand carry. Didn’t buy breakfast so can’t comment. Went to a nice bakery across the train station and had a great breakfast!

Paper-thin walls noisy guests no respect for others ,other guests banging on doors 04.45am,having to ask daily for milk and coffee,not ever replenished ,then when asking at reception they actually went and checked that we didn't have any

Rooms are small but fine for what we needed as a base to sleep, you couldn’t have spent much time in there. TV was all in French. Smart TV would be good. Quite noisy when the other occupants doors shut.
Modern and friendly. Perfect location for everything we wanted to do in Paris. Metro just across the road and plenty of cafes, patisseries and bars in the immediate area.

Bathroom door is very worn out
Location is good. Close to the Eiffel Tour. Room is quite small, but having everything what is needed, including fringe and a kettle. Very comfortable and quiet.

I personally prefer a room without carpet.
I loved staying there. It's well located and the staff is very kind. The bedroom was cozy and veey clean. We had a wonderful time.

The smell in the elevator. Smelled like vinegar 😅 I think they used it for cleaning. It came off easily anyway.

The room was clean and comfortable. Location is spot on as it’s only 10 mins walk to Eiffel Tower. Sufian on reception was very kind & helpful and Marilyn also helpful at breakfast time. Thank you to the lovely lady who was cleaning as well, can’t remember her name. Everything was good and everyone was lovely. Thank you.

Room is not soundproof, i can clearly heard the other guest next room
The location is perfect just 10 minutes walk going to the eiffel tower, and close to metro station, lots of nice restaurants nearby.

Rooms are a little bit on the small side, but when you don’t spend much time in the rooms, this probably is not a major factor.
Great location close to the Metro and restaurants and walkable distance to the Eiffel Tower.

A lot of noise from street, bathroom window didn’t close tight. Cleaning store beside bedroom so around 7am every morning staff can be heard talking loudly etc. walls are paper thin
