Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongI found the lack of towel a bit strange but to be fair it was mentioned in advance and I was prepared. A minor comment.
The village is small so even though it's on the edge of the village, nothing is more than 5 minutes away. Great quirky pink vehicles in the garden which when I had a whatsapp call with my family my daughters absolutely loved it along with watching the helicopters take off. Great chilled out spot in the Alps. Robin in the kitchen/bar is a great guy to talk to.

Perfect location. We got the half board and the food was amazing! The servings were huge and food was so delicious. The room is very basic - hostel like- but great value for money. Nice places to sit out at night and enjoy the mountain view!

United States of AmericaIt was a bit noisy at night as the walls are rather thin. But with good ear plugs and tired after a day of skiing it wasn't an issue.
The food was incredible - the portions were plentiful, food was fresh and prepared in a gourmet way. Everything was from high quality fresh ingredients and probably the best food I've had in a hotel.

United KingdomBike parking was a bit cramped to get in and out of but it was secure which is the most important thing.
Well this was a lovely place with fantastic views. It has a chilled out hippyish vibe which I liked. We had very good dinners and breakfast there and there were locals there for a drink and/or dinner. We had a good sized room, decent shower room and an amazing view from the veranda handily set next to the bar! Staff were friendly and helpful.

NetherlandsThis is the best budget location in town. Most people also take their evening meals there, so you share a table, are able to meet new friends, share experiences and practice a bit of French. People of the gite are very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean. It is located at the edge of a small village with authentic streets. There is a small supermarket. You can make beautiful walks in the surroundings, the most beautiful to the Lac Noir.

NetherlandsA bit dusty due to the location along the road and the gravelled parkinglot next to which it's located, but this is only for the terrace of our groundfloor apartment, inside was spotless. Wifi wasn't very strong in our apartment "grand rez"
A laidback place with very friendly staff. They had a live band, when we were there, and served home mades pizzas, with a great atmosphere. Apartment was clean and, eventhough we didn't use the kitchen, looked well stocked. Great location just outside town next to big parkinglot (free)

HungaryWhile it's not a hostel, if you don't book all beds in a room, there's a chance someone else will also stay in the room if no other rooms are available. I fully understand why this could be the case, but would be nice to highlight this information before the non refundable booking.
The vibes of the place and the staff are out of this world! The half board, with dinner and breakfast was exceptional. The views from the bar's balcony and from the room are stunning. This place could be straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. To top it off, I was lucky enough to have the whole room to myself for the price of one person, which was exceptional value.

United KingdomFriendly staff and excellent service. Do not expect a luxury hotel, the room is clean with a nice view. The food is fresh and delicious. It's worth it every penny. Really good for cyclists like me. There are plenty of famous TDF climbs nearby to the guest house.
