Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe had a triple room and a little more storage for clothes would have been useful, also an area to dry out wet clothes would have been helpful - but these are just minor points and didn't affect our stay
a fantastic location next to the Prodains gondola so we were only minutes away from the centre of Avoriaz where the skiing was excellent. The hospitality at the hotel was great and the food was delicious, we had amazing meals, although it was a set menu and it would have been good to have a choice for those who may have preferred other options (although alternatives were provided if ordered in advance)

United KingdomGreat location, next to Prodains lift which is open until late evening for easy access to Avoriaz. Close proximity to ski bus to Morzine. Fabulous 4 course evening meals, wow the food was delicious. The owner and staff at the hotel work very hard providing excellent and friendly service. Thank you for a great stay.

United KingdomBooking.com charged for two-person occupancy despite my travelling solo. Would have been half the price if I had booked directly with the hotel.
It was my second stay at the Hotel des Prodains and the experience was much the same as the first time. There is a warm welcome and comfortable rooms. The food is excellent. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the bottom station of the Prodains lift, so access to the ski area is easy.

GermanyWe did not like too much the ski rental store (sport 2000) that cooperates with the hotel and where you get 20% discount when you stay at the hotel. We also expected the spa area to be bigger (there is only one small sauna and one jacuzzi) and that it would be open until later in the evening (open only from 5 to 7pm).
We loved the breakfast with the many homemade offers! We also liked a lot the location that is very close to the skiing lift.

NetherlandsNo WiFi on the room (not a problem as it was a holiday however something to take into account)
Although we had 4 days of rain the hotel made our stay close to perfect. the Kitchen is amazing and the staff are superfriendly - would highly recommend this hotel to everyone! We travelled with 2 small children (1 & 4) and every day they checked in with us ahead of time what the preferred menu/dish would be for the 4-yr old - a touch that made us feel so welcome. it was even prepared ahead of kitchen opening hours so it was better aligned for him. amazing!

United KingdomGreat location for us outside the busy town of Morzine but right by the express lift to Avoriaz and the free bus into town. Really lovely traditional family run hotel. Very nice staff and excellent food. A gem and we would gladly visit again.

United KingdomThe only down side would be there wasn't the most varied number of options of food for vegetarians. They were very accommodating and offered alternatives each night, but usually entailed of omelette/egg-based and not matching the standard of the meat options. That said, they did produce some amazing salads and always ensured we were happy with our food. Overall, the food was incredible.
Absolutely amazing hotel, and very accommodating. They were overbooked when we stayed, so we were kindly put up in the residences next door which was beautiful. The food was unbelievably good. Chef was incredible - needs a Michelin star! Lovely family run hotel, warm, cosy, accommodating, great breakfast, definitely exceeded our expectations. Ski-in-ski out was fabulous too, great location at the bottom of Les Prodains lift up into Avoriaz ski area, and easy bus access into Morzine.

nicely decorated rooms in a big chalet, an impressive location this hot summer with the pool outside! amazingly simple and friendly staff - we felt very welcome. while not a fan in general we loved the jacuzzi , relaxing after a big day on the bike! the food was astonishing, with lots of local niceties, like fresh herbs and flowers from the garden on a salad with home smoked fera from the lake… eggs for breakfast with amazing bread and home made jams are simply a moment of felicity.

CanadaNothing. It’s small (rooms) and there is not an elevator so if you need those things chose a different spot. Otherwise….it was perfect for us.
If you’re a skier you can not get closer to the Prodains Gondola up to Avoriaz. Also you can ski out right to the side door. While it’s not ‘in Morzine’ the local bus (free) is an easy ride down for the bar scene if that’s what you want. We had an awesome dinner one night (quick two night stay) and we did not have breakfast. A great (quiet) hotel perfect for being in the middle of some amazing skiing.

United KingdomRooms were a little small, the boot room could be very crowded and the WiFi was very poor. Overall this was minor compared to the good points.
Lovely hotel in a quiet location but handy position. It was very close to the Prodains ski lift and every night we skied right back to the hotel. The food was absolutely superb and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and at a good temperature.
