Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The only negative I could give is that I got a couple of Mosquito bites overnight but that was my fault for not closing the windows.
Lovely location. Clean rooms. Modern bathroom. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds.

One bad point, the total absence of personnel and instructions to get in were not so clear. Also 2 couples of old people had some troubles.
Good breakfast, nice position, very relaxing place and comfortable bed. Very pleasant stay overall.

one of our friends is allergic to mosquito bites and the windows didn't have mosquito nets. Given that it's in the country side, we expected at least a few to have them so we could keep 1 or 2 windows open in the warm evening.
we loved the place and location. we were able to relax, cook our breakfast and dinner. the staff was wonderful and flexible, they let us check in earlier and check out later since it was a Sunday. we loved the quiet environment.

- The communication with the owner was quite difficult on before hand (I had sent several messages but did not receive an answer), once on site, the communication was a little bit better by telephone and text messages. - The finishing of cranes/shower (crane was not well fixed and buttons of shower were damaged and not all working) was not really conform with the look of the luxury of the apartments - Some small details like hooks for coats and towels, scissors, wooden bread board with good knife(s) were missing. And the kitchenware was very minimal, no good mugs for tea, only very small coffee cups, not a lot of pans and bowls for salads for example. - In the confirmation as well as on the website of Booking.com it is written that a daily continental breakfast should be served, but we did not receive any information about it on site and did not get a breakfast. - It was difficult to find anybody on the property if you had any questions or remarks. Everything was done over the phone, we did not see anybody upon arrival and when we left, same story (we wanted to say goodbye by ringing at the main house, but the gate was closed). In short, there was no personal contact or communication face to face and no welcome which felt a bit strange. - The garden table had a glass plate, which apparently was broken not long before our arrival. We took our dog, but had to take of many little pieces of glass from the terras first.
The location was perfect, having the feeling being in the middle of the countryside and yet very close to the city centre of Lille (approx 15 mins by car). The setting was amazing and very calm with the sweetest dog Abby and the other animals (horses and cats). Really nice! The venue is located not far from a highway, but you don't hear it at all and the apartments on the ground floor have beautiful big windows that can be opened as a window but also as a big door which gives access to the small terras.

Communications was non existent had to chase the check in details, never came back about wifi after second chase, never delivered breakfast despite requesting it on number given. No dishwasher tablets, dish cloths, brooms or anything to clean with. Be aware of mosquitos so Many. Well equipped otherwise but basic cleaning stuff nothing at all and if traveling for a few days can’t bring it with you.
Location was lovely quiet and pleasant area

The lock system was very complicated and there was no one to hand over a key when we arrived so it was difficult to coordinate over a call. Felt like they were not excited to help over the phone! Had to call back to figure out how the fire place worked which they couldn't help us over the call and asked us to go figure.
Beautiful property and good value for money! Lovely horses and cats that are friendly and easygoing.

The apartment was not clean, there was a lot of hair of the cats who were also outside yelling and trying to get in to the apartment. The WiFi on the tv was also not working so no possibility to watch Netflix in the evening (like in the description). Staff was unfortunately not responsive or willing to help. Late check in and early check out making it impossible to have a proper walk around in the surrounding.
Very nice location, quiet and great combination of classic and modern. Comfortable apartments and nice view.
