Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe location was a surprise next to a busy road and petrol station. However for most of the time it was quiet. The walk in to the town was not so nice as there was a lot of traffic and there were road works to the pavements and so not easy.
The location was amazing directly onto the beach and access to the sea. lovely views and position

GermanyA small detriment was that some employees did not speak English and seemed to ignore me for not speaking French.
Very distinguished hotel, I would assume it to be a 5-star hotel from my expression. The food is excellent and I recommend both dinner and breakfast there.

We really enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. The location is perfect but the real gem are the amenities and the view. The staff was very helpful and always available. Once in a lifetime experience!

United KingdomThe menu is fantastic and the food looked exceptional. It would be good however to have a few things on the menu that are less expensive (a snack menu?) as we really wanted to stay for a meal in the gorgeous surroundings. There was no kettle in the room. We thought that there had been the previous year. As Brits, we don’t feel that we’ve arrived anywhere until we’ve made a cup of tea ;-)
Fantastic location near town and beaches. Calm and peaceful environment and good outdoor facilities overlooking the bay. Most of the staff are really friendly. It is for this reason we came back this year - we had been overwhelmed by their friendly, thoughtful kindness last year. Some good hotels have good, but officious staff-for the most part the staff here efficient but not officious - it helps you feel like you’re at home and want to come back. The air conditioning is quiet and the room was cool and smelt fresh and lovely every time we went in.

SwitzerlandBeautiful bijou property with stunning views. Menu is limited and some dishes are fabulous eg octopus and prawn and risotto dish with a couple of others slightly underwhelming for the price eg the sea bass. Downstairs rooms with access to the pool are lovely but we suffered from chain smokers either side. Whilst there is a good breakfast menu was disappointed that an omelette could not be accommodated. Wine recommendations excellent. Overall a beautiful spot with pool and access to a beach area.

United KingdomThis hotel was just divine. The location is incredible, right on a little stretch of private beach. There is also a marvellous outdoor pool area which is very lovely too. The hotel restaurant is Michelin starred and therefore suitably brilliant. The staff were all so absolutely adorable and totally helpful and charming. All in all, a relaxed but luxury experience that I hope to come back to again.

United KingdomValue for money is terrible. Every drink and meal is pricey, even water! Sometimes you just want want a sandwich or a coffee but there is no menu that caters for that. Breakfast is 29 euros a head even if you have a slice of toast… a gin and tonic is pushing 20 euros… it feels pretentious. I can just about get on board with the prices as long as the service is great but frankly, it wasn’t. I am English, I don’t speak French and maybe that was the bulk of it, but being made to feel like you are a hindrance is not acceptable if you are charging top dollar. Also, rooms are dated. Clean, but dated.
Beautiful pool area, the terrazza is stunning and the access to a private beach was good.

AustraliaThe restaurant staff treated us with complete contempt - ignored us and took about 40 minutes to give us the menu even though we had asked for it twice. It arrived with out a wine list which took another 15 minutes to arrive. The restaurant was not full. This made the stay very negative. Finally when our meal arrived it was cold! The impression from the restaurant (which we visited twice) made a very bad impression on our stay. Other customers were treated with respect. Was it that we are not fluent in French?
Room was exceptional and hotel reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location even though it is about a 20 minute walk to town was good. View from our room was excellent.

United KingdomOur room was next to the terrace , you could hear people talking in the evening , and for breakfast etc Unfortunately our dinner on that terrace was that evening a disaster , starter arrived only by asking a few times the main courses were both unfortunately cold , we had to send it 2 times back . And we are talking about a high end restaurant . Spoilt our evening
Very nice location on the terrace

United KingdomWe were put in Room 5 which, unbeknown to us, is a very noisy room in that the dinner and breakfast service table runs along the outside wall of Room 5 which is in fact the same wall on which the bed is situated. So my wife and I were woken up shortly after 05.30 as the staff set up for breakfast setting down large numbers of plates, cups and saucers, glasses, utensils etc on the table outside our room. All the Hotel Staff are aware that the Room is very noisy but no-one told us of this at the time of booking or on check-in
Nothing went well - our entire stay was ruined
