Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room location was appalling. Right above an all night bar. We were kept awake by people partying below. It pretty much ruined our whole stay in Paris as we were like sleepless zombies on our only whole day on Paris. It was room 213 ( or 211, can’t remember now) but that room shouldn’t be given to guests without a prior warning- or discounted rate.
. Location was decent. Main chap in reception ( Ishara?) charming and super kind and helpful. Look after him, he is a huge asset to your team.

AustraliaIt was above an Irish pub and across from an Australian pub - it was extremely noisy. Both venues were open until 6am. The room was quite small, but as expected for a Parisian hotel and for the price.
The location was great. The concierge/door man was excellent.

AustraliaUnfortunately our family room didn’t have a view. But that didn’t really bother us too much.
Location was good, close to heaps of restaurants and cafes. Metro right there if you need. Family room was decent size and really great to have 2 separate rooms. Beds were comfortable and good pillows. Staff were very friendly.

United States of AmericaAs my 2nd year/2nd Booking.com Europe reservation the hotels seem to put me in the way back mouse hole of a room.. kind of humiliating.. Fortunately at both (remember Europe) tho small the rooms where fine for one traveler.
Bright breakfast room. Nice food selection. We’ll appointed (though small-typical Paris).

United KingdomRoom wasn't worth the price. Bathroom window wouldn't open, scratches on furniture, crack in sink, shower curtain manky, noisy on street, key cards kept breaking, asked to take stock from minibar and it wasn't removed so lack of room in fridge for own stuff . Once I made a complaint to booking.com I was asked why I contacted them which made me feel uncomfortable for the rest of the stay. No English breakfast tea replenished in the room even though I left a note for the housekeeper in English and French but that was also ignored. The manager was waiting for me when I was having breakfast and called me to one side and asked why I contacted booking.com he didn't seem very happy that I did that and offered me 10% back. Wasn't the best offer of compensation and still worked out very expensive. Its supposed to be a 4 star hotel which it did seem 4 star downstairs in reception but once upstairs and in rooms seems more like 3 star. Personally wouldn't stay there again unless the price was significantly dropped.
The restaurant had plenty of choice, beds were comfortable, staff were friendly. Lots of wardrobe space. Close to shops and restaurants and metro station, clean, plenty of hand sanitisers around,

United KingdomAlthough central and the windows had secondary glazing, it was quite noisy at night and early morning. I had booked and paid for 1 junior suite with large bed and 1 twin double with 2 single beds. This was not available and my friend had to share a large double bed with her grandchild. Management tried to help but had no other rooms available.
The junior suite was spacious and comfortable and had all the necessary linen and bath products. The staff, especially Ishara, were helpful and assisted in all areas to make our stay an enjoyable one. The breakfast had an excellent selection of foods, fruits, juices etc. Enough to please all tastes.

GermanyThe rooms might need a renovation. The windows could not be closed tightly and the interior (doors etc) were a bit old, like the sink or paint was partly cracked. Wi-Fi was not really stable. Toilet brush was missing. All over, it was a bit pricey.
The staff is super friendly! Check-In was possible earlier than expected, we arrived around 11 a.m. The location is perfect, the metro station is right in front of the door and a lot of destinations can be reached by foot, as it is very central. Lots of cafés, restaurants, grocery stores etc. are nearby. Luggage service after check-out was a pleasant feature. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

United Kingdomthicker walls, lower price
great location and the bedroom was nice albeit small (like most Paris hotel bedrooms), I didn't have breakfast because I think €20 is a lot for this level of hotel. The big downside is that the walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours have a conversation (without raised voices) ........

United KingdomRooms were small (not unusual for Paris) and reception was often crowded- I’m not sure why the hotel doesn’t do something as there is a large reception space that could be used to create a more workable environment
location was amazing- stepping out into the metro. Comfortable bed and there was tea / coffee in the rooms.
