Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandStaircase to the rooms upstairs very tattered and worn. very off putting. No safe in the room (which I didnt realise-my fault). Separate toilet old and outdated. Bathroom shower was only ever luke warm. Taps were dirty and stained. Didnt trust the tap water to brush my teeth as it looked discoloured .. Shower door allowed water onto the floor . Room was very small - ok for me as I just needed somewhere to sleep but would never bring wife here. I wanted somewhere cheap which is what I got so cant complain too much.
Comfy bed but very small room. Got fresh towels next day.

SwedenThere is a funny elevator, which I only used once. Quite small (understatement!) and claustrofobic. It said max three persons, but two filled it already to the maximum. Stairs is the only option. Unclear what to do, where to go in case of a fire. The staff wasn't very much interested in me. Could be better!
This was the first time I stayed in the 14th arrondissment; and I really liked the area. My room was enough as I visited a friend, and for me the price is often the most important criterium. I got a room at the front, with a balcony (fifth floor) and a busy street down below. The double glased windows made it relatively quiet.

Had all the basics needed and the shower was good.

United KingdomHard to comment really as i was relocated there, it was more than I would pay for the quality it offered but prices were high due to demand of sporting events in Paris, and booking.com were paying the difference following the shambles of a previous hotel/booking.com cancelling my previous hotel.
I was relocated there after a previous hotel/booking.com cancelled a previous booking on my arrival, so i will say at least this hotel was friendly unlike the one before. Metro is near which is handy.

United States of AmericaThere was a mouse found under the bed. The room they put me in i discovered had mouse traps under the bed and in the closet and there was a mouse stuck in one of them. Disgusting! Had to get the reception guy to come and remove it from the room. They then put me in a new room one flight of stairs up. The entire night I could hear things crawling through the walls - probably another mouse. The guy that worked at night was extremely rude. Caucasion old man who was very rude.

ItalyWhen i've made the reservation i asked if i could leave the luggaes after check out and come back in the afternoon to pick them up and I was answered yes. Then when i checked out the receptionist took some excuses, which i didn't fully understand, but that concerned the absence of a padlock, perhaps of the room to keep the luggage, and he didn't allowed me to leave the luggages. So I had to take both my backpacks with me all around Paris all day. Had I known so I would have chosen another hotel
