Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Everything about the property was nice. They will hold your bags till 3 pm.
Great location by Eurostar station. Rooms are spacious and nice and have lifts multiple. The area is nice and is walking distance to the new restaurants and shopping. Another plus was filtered water machines on every floor.

The entrance to the parking was extremely right, while I have a large car I normally have no problems getting in anywhere but I had difficulty here, I’m not sure how anything larger could get in. If you have a large car the best way in might be to go past the entry and reverse in.
The room was good, no complaints at all. I didn’t have any meals in the hotel so cannot comment. There is a tram stop almost directly in front of the hotel, it’s only two stops to the central station, end of the line. Very convenient but extremely busy at rush hour times, I once had to let two trams pass before I could squeeze on.

Nothing, it’s just good value. Whilst the car park is small, at least the hotel has one!! Given the location of the hotel and its accessibility to Lille the fact that it has a car park at all is a big plus.

Premium upgrade to include tea/coffee facilities. Stocks not replenished daily. No comfortable chair in the room. More set up for working visitors.
Location good. Short walk to the town, tram stop outside, to Centre Ville, Roubaix and Tourcoing at €1.80 per trip. Passes available from ticket machine. Huge bed. Breakfast good.

We had booked in june and hotel had updated web site and room fees. We had booked room with breakfast and there was a small dispute. However, all good.
Breakfast ...relaxed and sufficient. Staff helpful and attentive. Location very good...trams, buses and trains very accessible and regular. Cleaning staff very efficient and no complaints. Reception staff supportive. Timothy was great help and articulate which helped greatly. Kitchen ladies smiling and dutiful.

1. We booked this hotel in particular because of the private car park. We wanted to leave the car for the weekend somewhere safe. I especially called the hotel before booking a room to ask for confirmation. They do have a car park BUT the access is impossible. The entrance is super narrow. Do not count on parking your car there unless you have a Mini. 2. The staff: except the morning receptionist who was super helpful and kind, the others are useless. They couldn’t advise us on anything before or during the stay.
The location is good. 1.3 km from the town center (15 minutes walk), If you don’t want to walk a tram stop is just in front of the hotel. It is very calm and quiet. Beds are comfy.

The lighting in the room was a bit dim - not majorly so- more atmospheric but not too bright if you have paperwork to do.
Twin-bedded room with view onto the town, but quiet, clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room was a bit dim, but I really appreciated the kettle and the cooled water machine in the hall.

Communication about a fire alarm which went off was poor - in fact, non-existent. We gathered in the lobby and waited. Then gradually everyone just went back to their rooms. No information at all. Good there was no fire!!!

The coffee at breakfast
Very helpful staff, room and bathroom comfortable and practical, location very convenient for the tram (right outside the entrance) and not far from the Eurostar station.
