Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Passage had a bit damp smell as if someone was smoking there. We had a standard double room which was a bit small.
Room was small but clean. Comfortable bed. Very nice reception area with bar. Very close to train station. Walking Distance from restaurants and attractions. staff were helpfull and friendly.

The bathroom was very small. Nowhere to put wash bags etc.
The location is very convenient for walking round the city centre. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. Parking next door is €10 for 24 hours.

Room rather small, OK for a 1 night stay.
Great location if you travel by train. There is also a carpark behind if you arrive by car. Kind to pets. Staff friendly. OK for a 1 night stay.

A kettle with tea/coffee in the room would be nice! Room/bathroom small, just as previous reviews read.
Aircond works well, comfortable bed, good location, dog is allowed, daily housekeeping, clean. Carpark is very nearby. Satisfied for a 3 star hotel.

The room felt a bit unclean and the shower in tiny.

Room a bit small. Noise from the railway station was loud on one of our two nights.

The absence of telephone to call room service . You have to go downstairs to order something or ask for something .

Space between the bed and wall is tiny. I broke my ACL and walking through such space was difficult.

The bathroom was very small. There was no trashcan in the room. Lighting was poor to read a book. No glass to drink water etc.
The location was good, just close to the train station and a short walk to the centre. The breakfast was good.

Very small bathroom with small shower. Temperature regulator of shower did not properly work (water was sometimes hot even when set towards cold, and then suddenly cold).
Great location, close to city center. Easy parking for € 10 per day next to hotel (station parking). Small but clean room. Perfect base for 1 night when visiting Reims by car.

A lot of noice from the neighbours/hallway. We woke up at 7am because of people talking in the hallway. We had to seek another location for our breakfast on Sunday morning because there was no place left to sit.
Small but clean (bath)room. The lobby is quite comfy. We only used the room to shower/sleep, so perfect for us even though the room was rather small. Breakfast is perfect for the price

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but I believe this to be typical of most similar hotels.
Very funky reception and bar area with comfortable sofas. Although the room and bathroom were both compact they were absolutely fine for us.

It's located near the station and arriving, both by car or on foot at night, does not give the most 'holiday' of feelings. If you are travelling alone I would not recommend arriving at night. During the day it's nice enough as it's close to the city center.
Decent-sized room for the price, spacious car park and at least during the day, a good location close to the city center.

The lightning was a bit low when I was trying to complete work and zoom calls, which was frustrating. I would've also liked a dental pack.
I thought the bedding was nice, the internet was convenient to access and the cleanliness was impeccable.
