Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing, really enjoyed the stay and would so again if in that area.
Myself and my son had a great time in the pool, stayed at this hotel at the start of our journey and again at the end of our holiday. We did not have breakfast, staff were very polite and friendly.

Would prefer pain au raisins for breakfast but the breakfast buffet is still very good.
Very comfortable quiet room, slept well. Lovely welcoming and helpful staff.

Room was a little hot but we could open the windows. Little further from sea front than we would like but we knew that when we booked it.
It was clean, it had a swimming pool and our room was a great size.

Not a particularly attractive location, but handy for an overnight stay before catching a ferry. Breakfast ok - some cereals without added sugar would have been nice.

The lack of decent restaurants within, so having to drive into town.
Everything.... The warm welcome received, thank you so much Caroline, you are perfect for your job😁. The very comfortable bed. The fabulous pool. We'll certainly be back when we sail from St. Malo

Very lovely and helpful staff. Most staff speak English and that was a bonus. Lots of Parking space Good transport link Shopping mall close by Great place.

Only niggle was the smokers clustered outside the main entrance as we had a room immediately above and so smell of their cigarettes affected our room as prefer to sleep with windows open.
Conveniently located when arriving late or departing early from St Malo ferry terminal. Great to have supermarket and fast food take outs within easy walking distance. Excellent breakfast. Using their app brings some very good extra savings.

Maybe bar service could be better. No really relaxing area in hotel. Tables and chairs. But no soft seats.
Nice heated pool. Rooms. Nice double. Took a while to heat room, but very cold outside. Excellent breakfast. You can park. Great for location in centre of St Malo. Fast Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was mostly your typical continental but with hot bacon & scrambled egg on offer too. You could help yourself to coffee 24 hours too. Location was perfect for the ferry service out of St Malo and also not far away you could visit the famous walled city.

The pool & spa facilities were excellent. Just a shame the jacuzzi was 'out of action'. Staff were excellent, especially their English.

Nothing really could have been better, it was clean, tidy. Really good facilities and friendly staff. In all honesty I am filling this because I have to as I can’t in all honesty say anything bad about this hotel.
Hotel excellent, the staff checked using it early which was fab. Good location for travelling, we had an extended stay due to a delayed ferry. The pool was clean and warm. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The car park was brilliant as it was fenced Adam night it was locked.

Check out spoiled by staff not finding our reservation for me to pay, he was new and clearly needed extra training, but was polite and helpful throughout. I worked out how to find it for him in the end!
Check in friendly and helpful. Room fresh and clean and bed super comfortable as always. Breakfast had good choices, everything looked fresh. Pool is excellent since they made it larger.

beds are a bit firm, it took me a while to adjust and fall asleep.
the staff were friendly, easy check in. the hotel had very nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room included. I asked them for a swim short and they had one to buy in the hotel which is very good. the rooms were clean and in a very good shape.
