One would have preferred a walk in shower, because climbing in and out of a bath can be tricky if slightly disabled.

Nice large clean rooms, with a large comfortable bed. A very good shower, although in a bath.. The surroundings were very pleasant and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Quiet location which was easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size with balcony and aircon. Beds are very comfortable. The buffet style breakfast, which was included, was really good. There is a pool also.

The place itself is a little rundown and in need of renovation and a good clean, particularly the carpets, but having said that the hotel was decent value for money and would return if in the area.

The location was great and the setting pretty, the breakfast was good and the staff were amazingly helpful and kind - always going out of their way to ensure guests were happy. Pool was not too big, but more than enough for the amount of people. Restaurant was good.

Good location within walking distance to beautiful Chinon with plenty to see. We gained a booklet with circular wander around Chinon and the old properties including church in the hillside's and the striking castle.

Sadly the pool was closed on the morning of departure due to a problem, so no morning swim before we left.

For the modest price - nothing.

Large room with balcony. Comfortable and relaxed place to stay. Fairly basic but very good value for money and it exceeded my expectations. Good restaurant food and whilst breakfast was a bit limited in choice, the quality was excellent.

Room terrace furniture floor and walls were thick with leaves dirt insect debris etc similarly patio door frames and runners. Had to ask twice for the floor and furniture to be wiped down over 2 Days finally found cloths and did it myself. A lady vacuumed the terrace after I had cleaned it. She said it wasn’t her job really but complained the lack of staff and the global employment situation was the problem. Location and parking very good

Reception bar breakfast and good . Evening dinner good value but rather repetitive over several days . Staff on reception and restaurant very helpful and pleasant no complaints in that respect. Pool was reasonable size for the property clientele but had to request canopy to be opened by staff a 2 person job.

Easy to find very nice location plenty of parking. Very well maintained and the gardens. Very hospitable staff made us very welcome. Nothing to much trouble. Would certainly recommend. Excellent buffet breakfast.

10/15 minute walk to Chinon centre in quiet location. Free secluded large car park for our classic car. Very helpful friendly staff. Comfortable, clean, quiet room. Good breakfast. Good air con during very hot weekend. Recommended. ps: 15 min hop on-hop off bus passes by.

The property was tired with over grown gardens and the balcony needed pressure washing to remove grime. The window boxes on the balcony were full of dry soil and no plants and ours had been used as an ash tray.

Bathrooms poor, Soap dispensers very badly positioned, floor slippery following shower

Considered the hotel very good value for money. We had a pleasant reasonably sized room with balcony, good meals and in a lovely medieval town.
