Small point but sheets and blankets felt a bit strange after being used to duvets !

Lovely breakfast, beautifully served in the stunning dining room. Boiled eggs, croissant, fruit etc . Beautiful building, and lovely grounds where we sat outside for an early drink. Sophie and Alain made us very welcome

loved this beautiful old mill which has been renovated very sympathetically and has kept its authenticity. it feels very homely, unlike soulless hotels. It is situated in a beautiful location in a lovely quiet village, which you access through beautiful tree lined roads.

Nothing really. It's got a real sense of being a welcome guest in a family home which might not be what everyone is looking for, but we enjoyed our stay there.

The hosts were really welcoming. It was a very homely atmosphere, very warm and unpretentious. The house and location is very special and the village is beautiful. The hosts booked us a table in advance at the Café de Ville, which I would also recommend. A very good stop off if you're traveling down to the south.

Family-run chambres d’hôtes, rustic not ‘smart’. Good sized bedroom and bathroom, great breakfast and helpful owners. It was nice to have the swimming pool and such a cool house during the heatwave.

    Nothing

Le Moulin is a very handsome and fascinating 19th century mill. Lovely large rooms. Super large swimming pool. Welcoming hostess. Perfect continental breakfast. 5 mins walk to the picturesque mediaeval tiny town of Montressor which is well worth exploring. Choice of 2 restaurants in next door town of Chemille. We only stayed one night, but I recommend staying a second night as lots else around to explore.

There really wasn't anything we didn't like.

Very hospitable and helpful. For example, we arrived early by bicycle after a long ride in the rain and were greeted cheerfully and allowed to bring our bicycles in and given biscuits to have with a cup of tea. Lovely large room with a comfortable bed and all the facilities we needed. Very quiet and we slept well. Breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely old room. We found the couple to be very good hosts and interested in our discovery of rare wild orchids growing near their property.

Idyllic location, but not great for cold seasons.

The room could be cleaner - spider webs everywhere, dead flies literally hanging in spider webs on the ceiling right above your face as you sleep. The room was infested with flies, but the hotel is sitting on a branch of a river. It got very cold at night, and you can't control the heating (it's controlled centrally and is just turned off for the night). We had to sleep in hoodies under 3 blankets (2 of them looked old and dusty). A cute dog lives in the B&B and runs around freely (unless you ask the hosts and then they would keep it in the kitchen) - some may like animals at the reception and some may not.

An idyllic location, a beautifully decorated dining/breakfast area (if you don't mind taxidermy).

Everything! Excellent value for money, accommodation & half board. The hotel was super central / well located, the interior was just gorgeous and old worldy. The owners super lovely & welcoming. And the icing on the cake - the food was incredible. Highly recommend. Also a little tip, park out front to unload then just 1min up the road you’ll find a public car park.

Nothing - our stay was perfect!

The property itself is stunning, a grand old mill building in which a number of bedrooms are sectioned off from a lovely family home. Breakfast (which is very good!) is taken either in an impressive dining room or a large living room, that is open to guests. Outside, it was really nice to sit out on tables on the lawns, taking in the view of the house and surrounding countryside, something you can also do from the fantastic swimming pool - which for me was the highlight of the stay. We had a spacious double room, light and tastefully furnished in a traditional style. The bed was comfortable, and the peaceful and quiet location made for a great night’s sleep. The hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating, and through our stay we had everything we needed. The location is also brilliant, on the edge of the beautiful village of Montresor. Between the facilities of Le Moulin and the sights and restaurants in the village, a relaxing break could run on for a good number of days - my only regret is not staying for longer!
