Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe gite we stayed in is not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. Narrow , curly stairs to the bedrooms could be hard to navigate.
Lovely, traditional French gite on a small farm . Authentic shabby chic, lovely fireplace , really great shower, and a perfect spot for catching the evening sun Owned by a very friendly family and we enjoyed their homemade cider, they’d run out of honey … so we’ll get some next time. The location was spectacular, set up a hill in the beautiful Normandy countryside. So much to see and do within an hours drive ; Rouen, Giverny, Versailles. The River Seine , with beautify views, is less than 15 mins away

NetherlandsNothing, all was perfect.
This is was a really lovely stay, the house was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The rooms were well heated and the beds super comfortable. The dining table is big and situated at a nice spot and there is a cosy living room to relax. The location is perfect for those who want to be in a quiet spot at the country side, still close to bigger towns. Definitely recommend.

United States of AmericaNice well-maintained home in a rural location, about 30 minutes from Giverny. A small town is just a few minutes away. We stayed only one night, but with the full kitchen facilities this would be a great base for a week-long artist/writers retreat. The round main bedroom is accessible by a very steep staircase.

United KingdomVery little space to prepare meals
Very quiet location and base for exploring around the area by car. Host very nice, met us as soon as we arrived to show us round property, we didn't see her again but she was available if needed. Lovely views from the property. Cows in the field next to us. Log fire in the lounge. Everything you need for cooking meals is in plentiful supply. Supermarket only a few miles away. Washing machine and dryer available at a small charge. Tower room is large. Beds are comfy and we all slept well. Kitchen has fridge with freezer box, cooker, oven, microwave.

United KingdomThere were a few very minor niggles (the water is very hard so we had to descale the kettle every few days, there wasn't a shop within walking distance, for example) but they really didn't impact our enjoyment at all. There isn't a washing machine in the cottage but we could use the laundry room in the building opposite - a short 30 second walk so not a problem! It's a great place if you want a quiet time in the beautiful French countryside.
The cottage was simple but very clean and perfectly comfortable. The area was wonderful - about 7 minutes drive from Vernon, in very quiet and beautiful countryside with loads of gorgeous walks around. It was a great base to explore the area from, although we spent quite a number of days happily relaxing in the garden where the noisiest thing most days were the bees! On Friday evenings a pizza van parks up in a nearby village and makes the most delicious pizzas although it's best to get there early because we had quite a wait - he's clearly very popular! The hosts were fantastic, very welcoming and friendly and working close by most days so very easy to get hold of. We loved our stay.

During my recent holiday stay at Les Grandes Vignes ,I had an incredible experience. The location was perfect location on mountain top, it offered breathtaking views. The room was very comfortable. What truly set this place apart was the warm and welcoming owner/host. One of the highlights of our trip was exploring the nearby cities/ villages , this is the perfect location for us. LithuaniaThis is a great experience to spend the night on an old French farm. Quiet spacious area to have a rest after active day. Especially before or after visiting overcrowded Claude Monet house in Giverny. Very helpful owner. Perfectly equipped house, everything was clean, orderly, everything you needed was nearby, even woods for grill.

GermanyThe only negative is the lack of an window in the toilet. Everything else was perfect.
The location is beautiful, placed in a small village, but very close to the main road between Paris and Rouen. The kitchen offers all necessary amenities and the split bathroom & toilet are perfect for a small group of guests. The WIFI was stable and fast. There is enough parking, and a bakery is easily reachable by bike or car. The host responded fast and in good English to any requests we had.
