Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe room could have been a bit bigger. But I was warned in advance that the standard hotelrooms in Paris are not known for there spaciousness.
Very friendly staff. Near to metrostation Jacques Bonsergent.' "Blondie" is a very nice coffeeshop / boulanger, just around the corner.

NetherlandsNice cozy hotel, very clean, comfortable and pretty quiet! Excellent location, next to a beautiful neighborhood full of choices for food and drinks (Canal St Martin), the metro station is just around the corner and the main train stations (Gare du' Nord & Gare del' Est) are 10 minutes way or even in walkable distance. Also a number of landmarks and must-visit neighborhoods can be walked to (Le Marais, Pompidou, Louvre Museum) or the metro will take you anywhere in Paris quite fast. Recommended for experiencing the cultural vibe of Paris, the atmosphere and the history of the city.

It does what it says on the tin! It's a little hotel in a great location, great value and perfect for a leisure break. I've read some minor moans about the lift and the breakfast, but our experience was excellent. Yes the lift is small - I've never seen one like it before, but it was a great quirky feature! It was big enough for one person with all the luggage, no problem! As for the breakfast - cereal, fruit, croissants and jam, ham and cheese, bread, baguette and excellent coffee. Just the job! One day it was running low, so the kind lady on reception went round the corner with her purse and bought fresh baguettes to top it up! Superb service 😀 The room was compact, but clean and comfortable and serviced every day. The hotel is a couple of stops on the metro from Gare du Nord (Jacques Bonsergent - 1 minute from the hotel) and a 5 minute walk from Place de la Republique. A great find....we will definitely stay again!

SingaporeThe hotel is near food area. There is a boulangerie nearby that serves fantastic pastries. Every morning, there is a queue. We ate at a lovely restaurant near the boulangerie. I had beef tartare that was really good. The captain of the restaurant was polite and nice.

SwedenThey locked the doors at night and the only way to open it was to ring the buzzer that woke up the worker. I felt quite bad waking him up :( I wish they had like another card or key to get in whenever you want without inconveniencing the worker.
Place was decent! Everything was clean, the bathroom was very nice and tidy, the windows were nice and big and let in a lovely breeze. The staff was kind enough and it was in a decent location for us to easily get between the North and East train station

FranceThe "reading lights" are extremely bright. They are too bright to be a good nighttime reading light and they are installed so that they illuminate the whole room, making it impossible for one person to stay up reading while the other goes to sleep. The main overhead light is sufficient to illuminate the entire room, it would be nice to have a dimmer for the rest.
The hotel is very well situated and the room was very clean.

United KingdomNothing awful. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment. Would have been nice to have a lounge for coffee and to chat with friends in. Lift was absolutely tiny but this is normal for small, old hotels in Paris! Run up the stairs and race your luggage in the lift, and don't bring too big bags. There are 5 floors so make sure you don't have a heart condition. No aircon, which could be a problem, but they lent us a fan so i was happy. Can be a bit noisy at night with the windows open, so bring ear plugs if you have difficulty sleeping with noise. No mirror in the bedroom, only in the bathroom. I also brought a travel kettle, having read that there wasn't one. No fridge either but milk was fine in the room.
Little tiny hotel about a 15-20 minute walk with suitcases from La Gare du Nord- pretty much straight down the road. Even closer to Gare d'Est. Felt like a safe area despite riots just before we arrived. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was bigger than we expected and very clean and in good condition, the shower room too though the sink plug got stuck cos the lever didn't work, but a helpful staff member used a plunger and sucked it back up :D . Popular boulangerie around the corner (queues all day 8am-10pm), and plenty of places to eat within walking distance and food was generally good everywhere in Paris (unlike in Rome!) We walked everywhere practically, 30 minutes walk gets you to most tourist sites, only took the Metro a few times but lots of choice with several Metro stations nearby, so very well placed. There is a little wine bar called Foudre in the Rue du Château d'Eau with a nice ambience and ex-sommelier owner, really nice wines, and cheese to go with it. We were very happy with the hotel. Security was good too, front door locked when no one was at the desk.
