Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDifficult to park in Bayeux, but that's a town issue, not the hotel's fault.
The room was a good size with fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Bed was really comfortable and a spacious bathroom. Location was superb - close to the centre but very quiet.

United States of AmericaI personally loved the spiral staircase, but if you are mobility challenged or pack heavy with large or multiple suitcases, it may be hard to climb the stairs up and down. Obviously, no lift available.
This was the prettiest room I've ever stayed in. It had a rustic princessy feel to it, beautifully decorated! And it was in a literal tower with a spiral staircase. I literally felt like a princess. The host was very nice and the breakfast included was homey and wonderful (the host made us omlets! Plus croissants, fruit, coffee, juice). Great location on a quiet street, less than 10 min walk to the museums, shopping, and restaurants, with free street parking less than 5 min walk away. The bed was insanely comfortable, especially if you like mattresses and pillows on the softer side. The mattress had a topper on it and the pillows were large and fluffy.

United States of AmericaManoir Saint Victoire is an exceptional bed and breakfast that I would recommend to anybody looking for a cozy, luxurious and homey accommodation right in the heart of Bayeux. Frank is an incredible host; he makes homemade breakfast each morning to your liking, including fresh pastries and produce from the local market. The rooms are well-appointed and beautifully designed, with brand new interiors all in a beautiful 14th century tower! The town is very walkable and Manoir Saint Victoire is very close to all of the sites in Bayeux but does not feel like you are a tourist, rather that you are a local in a cozy French town.

United States of AmericaThe hotel was delightful in all ways. From entering into the inner courtyard with a lovely area to sit in the sun, to the well-appointed and comfortable room, the place is perfect. The owner is friendly and very helpful, providing names of local favorite restaurants and preparing a delicious breakfast. We are so glad we found this gem.

A gem of a place and only 3-5 minute walk to the center of Bayeux. We had a lovely room on the 2nd floor. It was very nicely laid out, comfortable and quiet. We found parking at the park on the next block from the Manor. Made to order omelet in the morning was such a pleasant touch. Just be aware that there is no elevator if that is an issue.

United States of AmericaThe stairs can be treacherous with a large bag, but if you take it slow it is no problem.
Perfectly located to all the sites in Bayeux. The host, didn’t speak much English, but enough to understand and communicate . He was very accommodating and friendly, with plenty of wonderful dinner suggestions. We had a car and there was only street parking, but it wanted to difficult to find a spot. The room was lovely, located in an old tower that was beautifully renovated. It was the perfect balance of old and new. The garden is peaceful and the omelet at breakfast was much appreciated.

United KingdomHaving to leave....
Our host Frank met us at the door and showed us to the room, helping with our luggage. The house and the room are absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. All of the facilities and finishings were of the highest quality. The bed and linens were no exception. Breakfast was fantastic and Frank could not offer enough. Freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit, cheeses, breads, croissants and coffee/tea. Hot selections were cooked to order, I highly recommend the omelettes. The manor is located in a perfect location on a quiet lane but within minutes of restaurants and attractions (i.e., the Bayeux Tapestry Museum is only a 5 minute walk). There is free parking available around the Charles DeGualle park, just meters away. Frank helped us find the best restaurants in town also.
