Very pooooooor housekeeping! They don’t even clean ur room! When we asked them several times why our room is not being cleaned! The answer was that “ you need to clean what you left behind you” !!!!!! They dont do any housekeeping which is totally unethical nor acceptable !

The carpet. It is shabby; it makes the room feel dirty. This hotel would deserve a 10 once the carpet is removed.

The staff is the biggest asset of this hotel: very courteous, warm and friendly young professionals — they are also flexible (e.g. regarding breakfast timetable or checking out). But there is more. Top quality produce for breakfast; excellent tea sachets in the room with a boiler, free bottles of still water. Great location. Big rooms, large shower, Nuxe products. I should add that when we came into the room I was a bit upset as there was no view, just an interior courtyard. But then in this hotel I slept like a baby, which is a feat — peace reigns in these rooms.

Very basic room amenities. The usual toiletries etc found in most Mercury hotels missing. The only item was a single shower gel dispenser in the shower. Shame is this a victim of Covid?

Location and parking excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly, room and bed comfortable very clean. Stayed 2 nights for a one day visit to Puy du Fou.

The smell in the toilet in our room.

The best thing for us was the view from our room (403 if I remember correctly). It was magnificent. Notre Dame de Cholet is so beautiful and we could see it from our window almost in its entirety. Another thing we liked was how central the hotel is. Very handy. Also, the room was spacious but we noticed a couple of things: 1)the shower room floor is a lawsuit waiting to happen. It is very, VERY slippery once it gets wet. The shower itself was lovely, though. 2)there was a smell in the toilet. We think the plumbing needs looking at. We were only staying 1 night so we did not bother saying it to the reception staff but the smell was a bit like raw sewage (yuck).

The one thing I did not like were the scrambled eggs. As an American, I tend to eat eggs every morning. I need my protein. The bacon is tastier than then sausage. That said, everything else at breakfast was delicious!

I stayed 3 nights. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable with lots of extra pillows. Lighting was well placed. The desk was large and a convenient place to do work, charge electronic devices, and make a cup of coffee or tea with the hotpot. My room had a large window that faced a courtyard and that offered a glimpse of the cathedral. I was able to watch the sunset at night. It was very quiet. One day I wanted to take a trip to a town about 20 kilometers away, and while I ate breakfast the staff scheduled a taxi to pick me up and bring me home. They even have a "breakfast in bed" option, but the breakfast area is so pleasant I was inspired to get dressed and go down. Breakfast was included. The hotel is absolutely central in Cholet. To me, everything was walkable. If I ever go back to Cholet, I will not hesitate to stay there again.

Breakfast wasn't cheap but it was super handy...we chose to go to a local boulangerie on the second morning of our stay as we thought we'd save money and explore and were pleased to have made this decision as the breakfast area was SO busy and looked thoroughly chaotic.

We had a family room which was wonderfully spacious. The children shared the sofa bed which was lovely and soft and the main bed was huge! The bathroom facilities were excellent and it was wonderful to have air-con and a fridge given the warm weather we were experiencing when we stayed. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff were very welcoming and accommodated our request for milk in the room so that I could make a very British cup of tea!

There was an accumulation of dust everywhere, I drew a line in the dust in the toilet area on the first day which left a ball of dust which, despite telling reception, stayed longer than our stay. I also told reception about the hairs in the toilet area that were not ours, these also weren’t cleaned away on the three nights that we were there.

The reception was warm and informative on our arrival. Information regarding breakfast & parking (50mts) from reception. The room was bright and a good size with a very nice bathroom.

Room wasn’t ready when we arrived well past check in. No coffee in the room as noted. Reception said they would send it up but never arrived. Breakfast was not included, we paid for it but it was pretty poor. It was dissappointing

Rooms are very large and comfortable. Nice area to have a glass of wine. Staff friendly.

One tiny bin in the bathroom none in the room so overflows very quickly. No mini bar in standard room - have to be premium to have a mini bar - not obvious when you book. No fridge in the room and they will not bring you one - you have to have a premium room to have a fridge - not obvious when you book. The water doesn't drain in the shower so you have to keep stopping the shower or you flood the floor Room service just walk into your room even though the door is locked. Corridors smelt of glue I was sold a room with a patio and a courtyard view. I had neither. Cost nearly 200 euros a night, value is around 90 euros a night for a hotel in a small town.

I forgot my electric toothbrush at the hotel and when I called up I was told they found it and then sent them a email with my address and gave my bank details over the phone. Was never given an update then when I called they would put the phone down till I demanded to speak to the manager. Manager then told me they found another toothbrush but wasn't mine (shock) but he would get his staff to search and call me back. This was over 3 weeks ago till now I haven't had an update. Will never use them again

Noise from the Bar next to the Hotel that prevent getting sleep till 4 AM in the morning. The Hotel staff did not offer a solution neither they would give us the night free because they said it was booked with Booking.
