There is a lot of noise transfer from the other apartment (especially when downstairs).

The property is easy to locate and I think generally has accessible parking. The kitchen is nice and the downstairs area is very fun for kids.

The apartment is absolutely beautiful! We didn’t want to leave, it’s so homely and our children loved the games room. Everything was perfectly set out and the apartment is very homely. We will definitely be returning. A huge 5* from our family :D

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about the property, the only thing I was concerned about when we arrived we were right near the train station but the trains didn’t worry us at all.

The property had everything you could possibly want. Lovely bathroom , Kitchen, plenty of places to sit , the beds we’re comfortable with good quality bedding. TVs , although we didn’t have young children it would be ideal for a young family as well.

The downstairs room smelt damp and as my husband and son both have asthma we all slept upstairs in the main area. The host had a fan running down there to try to alleviate the problem which we appreciated. The apartment is right beside the station and there were a number of men hanging around. They didn't trouble us at all but I am not sure how I would feel arriving later at night. There is CCTV in the parking area and our car was fine overnight. The walls are quite thin so we could hear the people moving around in the other apartment - even though they weren't noisy. In summary, we have added these details to give travellers a clear idea of what to expect. We would stay there again because it was a great location for our early morning journey through the shuttle.

Ana, the host, was lovely and gave us really good information including places to see near the property. It was easy to find and was beautifully clean and well equipped. We were only there one night (great location for the shuttle). It was close (short drive) to Calais Beach where we went for a meal and wander around on arrival. In terms of bedrooms there are two sofa beds downstairs and a small separate bedroom upstairs (only suitable for young children). There is a comfortable double bed with curtains around in the main living area and another double sofa bed in that main area.

If sleeping downstairs, you can hear the people upstairs moving around. Didn't bother us too much as only really happened in the morning anyway.

I didn’t love that 2 beds were located in the basement. It’s a fantastic playroom, but not great as a place to sleep in. There are no windows, there is a bit of a musty scent, the ceiling is very low and you can hear the neighbours walking over your head. Would prefer having all the beds upstairs (there is enough room).

The owners really went to great lengths to make it a fantastic place to stay with kids, the playroom being the absolute highlight of our stay. The little princess-themed tv room was also a big hit with my 4 y.o. There was complimentary coffee, water and tea, and basically all you need for a short stay.

The only comment is it smells a bit damp downstairs in the dinosaur room, but only in here and its a cellar so kind of normal.

The host has thought of EVERYTHING, there is not one thing missing! Tea bag selection, coffee pod selection, sugar cubes, mini cereals for children. We travelled from Alsace got 2 hours into our trip to Calais, and broke down, thus arriving at 10.30pm the children were thrilled with the dinosaur room, tons of toys which perked them right up. Beds comfortable, Kitchen has everything you need, the whole place is beautifully clean, bathroom spotless, lots of towels, netflix is a real plus. Thank you :-)

Main bed in room upstairs is the best option but with the way it is set one person will have to climb over the other to get out. There is another double bed though.

Very clean and well-equipt. Best equipt kitchen I've seen in a self-catering accommodation. Children loved the children's bedroom/playroom. Netflix an added bonus . We'll definitely stay again.

Children's area in the basement (moisture). We have a child with asthma, she got wheezing.. Despite this, the children (two) were delighted No windows (even one)
