Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelLow variety of vegetables and pastrami/sausages at breakfest it was too hot in the room. only heating was available on the A/C. The window was not a tilt turn window only turn and, since my room was on the 1st floor I could not leave it open to cool the room (peopel could come in via the open window).

Russia- It can be a bit loud in the morning if the windows are facing the road.
+ Very new and clean hotel. + Good breakfast. + The location is perfect: it is just outside of the city center. And with a parking under the hotel. So it was very easy to park (which would be a pain if we'd stay inside the city wall), but still was very close to reach any place in the center.

MonacoWe were directly above a control technique type room which made a low humming noise. I checked the next day and it is a pump room in the spa for the pool and jacuzzi. I believe we were room 115 at the end of hallway. I hung the do not disturb sign on the door, yet the cleaner knocked loudly several times and woke us up. I pointed to the sign and she said, well some guests forget to remove it when they go out. It was 10am and we had an awful night, so were trying to rest. Regardless, if the sign is there, she should not knock before departure time.
I’ve stayed here several times. The hotel is great, rooms clean and comfy and location perfect. I love the fresh water machines on every floor.

United KingdomLittle choice in the hotel restaurant and small portions
Nice hotel and rooms clean and tidy. Pool area was good and free towels to go swimming. Plenty for kids to do and the hotel had a good bar area. Restaurant was large and breakfast in the morning was fine. Would recommend a 15min walk to town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants as there was not much of a choice at the hotel and portions were small

United KingdomThe breakfast is decent but nothing special and it would have been nice to have a bit of a wider selection of hot food available. It wasn't a problem during our stay but worth knowing the hotel is between a main road and the railway tracks.
This Novotel is brilliantly located for Avignon Centre train station, which is particularly useful for doing days trips out of the city. It's also only about 15 minutes walk away from Palais des Papes and the other main sites of Avignon itself. We really enjoyed having the swimming pool in a city hotel and the staff were friendly and efficient.

SwedenIt's 2022.... Non-smoking in 'public' service areas have been standard for years so why should the pool be pestered by smokers at both ends? This also influence the dinner area in the 'el patio' where smokers at the pool can be smelled all over...! I'm fine with smokers also need somewhere to be, but why should it affect everyone? The breakfast was chaotic. Not for the will of trying by the staff, but the weekend was clearly understaffed as different areas like filling up food, oranges for juice, and cups for coffee could not keep up with the number of people having breakfast. The dinner opportunities are not really children friendly, and even that families are clearly not the primary customer segment it should not be difficult nor expensive to offer a child meny. I do understand that you want do make money on people's need for convenience, but honestly, charging 5€ for an ice-cream that cost less than half anywhere else is pure greed!
Great staff, really trying to make the best of the situation and dealing with any challenges showing (like lack of tickets in the parking basement og trying to fill up att breakfast when clearly understaffed - curious why the very friendly staff has to carry and balance a lot of stuff to clean the tables instead of giving them a service cart where they can collect and the take it to the kitchen!?) We would be happy to stay at Novotel Avignon centre again, but you should address some of the 'did not like" below!!
