In general, the bedroom and hallways are in need of an upgrade - paint, carpet, etc. - to correspond to the nice reception area. The photographs of the bedroom are a bit misleading. The separate WC and shower is fine but both are very small.

The location is excellent, along with the staff. The room was warm and the bed was very comfortable.

nothing really - everything was perfectly adequate

This little hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the old town with easy parking nearby. The host was hugely informative about where to eat in the evening. The room was simple, small but comfortable and clean with bottled water provided. Just a simple hotel offering what you need for an overnight stay. Breakfast was served to your table so no need for running around looking for buffet items. Overall would recommend and would use again.

The only negative is that we found the beds and pillows somewhat uncomfortable. It made sleeping difficult for us.

The staff at the hotel are brilliant. Very welcoming and helpful. The hotel let me check in a little early and to drop off my luggage. He provided me with helpful suggestions on restaurants and bars and was very kind to our child. The location is great, right in the centre of the town by the cathedral. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room quite small but the bed was very comfy.

Within the walls of St malo so ideal for getting out and about. Breakfast was lovely. Concierge very helpful pointing out places to eat. We were only there one night but would recommend.

I wasn't able to book a taxi as they were all booked up to the train station although the front desk manager tried for me. Also, since I arrived after 9pm, I was directed around the back to a night entrance so wasn't able to talk to anyone upon arrival about my need for a taxi. However, that's a very minor quibble. I did not eat breakfast as there was a great bakery near by.

Well located within the intra muros. We only stayed for one night before catching the ferry home so didn’t have breakfast. The man at the reception desk was welcoming and helpful and the rooms were clean.

We have stayed at Maison Vauban before. We arrived late after the ferry from Jersey and were given a code to get in after hours. An excellent breakfast was provided and were very well treated. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The ensuite was a very tight squeeze - adequate and complimentary toiletries and good towels - small shower cublicle but powerful

Lovely old hotel - host was exceptional and very helpful - understood English well and was very helpful with parking query - The room we had was on the 2nd floor - if you have a problem with mobility there may be problems - there is a lift but it is very small - 2 person with case is a tight squeeze ! - The room was adequate for 2 people and had a very comfortable bed - a little noise from outside but not too disturbing - Tv with English speaking channels - complimentary water. St Malo is a lovely city which comes alive at night with many places to eat

Earlier breakfast. First timers visiting by car should be aware that the easiest option is to park outside the walls in one of the many car parks, then walk to the hotel.

Space is tight in St Malo, and they use it well. The assistance and greeting went well beyond our expectations. Great location for exploring the historic port.

The bathroom was only separated from room by a thin piece of sliding plexiglass.

We liked the location and the handsome, charming front desk guy. He was very nice and helpful. Good place to stay!
