Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainFor us, two single beds would have been a bonus.
Central location within easy walking distance to the Modern Art Museum, also lots of restaurants and bars close by. The oldest part of the town on the doorstep. Friendly atmosphere. Great breakfast which could be taken in the dining room, on the terrace ( weather permitting) or in the bedroom.

LatviaThey were fortunate to find parking right next to the hotel; otherwise, they would have had to park a few minutes' walk away. But in such a tight little town, this seemed to be the norm for every hotel.
Arranged accommodation at this hotel for my parents during their car journey. They were charmed by the hospitality of the family running it. The owners were exceptionally welcoming and responsive, creating a delightful atmosphere. The hotel's location within an authentic French city was ideal, and the room they stayed in was spacious enough. Though the room may seem simple at a first glance, it had its own authentic vibe, with cleanliness and comfort to emphasize. Surprisingly, the breakfast served was tailored to their preferences and cooked freshly on spot, what greatly satisfied them. To note, the hotel was flexible to offer a breakfast earlier than the set time. In case our family travel there again, will make a stop at that accommodation again.

United KingdomNothing to dislike at all
Poppys is perfectly located in the centre of town, near to everything (even for easy walking in the nearby hills with the dog), and with parking nearby. Easy going atmosphere, quirky comfortable room (and bed), plenty of space and a cosy, very convivial shared dining area. Paul is a natural host; friendly, knowledgeable, easy going. Outstanding breakfast - lots of choice, generous and simply beautifully cooked. Truly a delight.

United States of AmericaWe were there in November, a slower season, and had a room facing the plaza. The noise and light were acceptable. We were advised though through the advertisement.
We liked the helpfulness of the staff, the home-like furnishings, the location, and the big breakfast that set us up for a day of hiking.

United States of AmericaMy husband and I loved Ceret and Poppy's. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful, and Paul was a great host. Poppy's is located in the heart of the city, which we loved. We walked out the door on Saturday morning and found ourselves in the midst of the most incredible Saturday market. The whole experience was excellent, and we hope to visit again.

The location was perfect and it is situated right in the centre of the town – minutes away for the museum of modern art. The British owners are very friendly. The beds were comfy and pets are allowed to stay. The cooked breakfast (which was included) was excellent .

Right in the middle of town and only a 5 metre walk to the nearest bars/restaurants. The view from the bedroom to the front was quintessentially French and welcoming. Great breakfast and Paul, the proprietor was most attentive and a mine of local information and recommendations.
