To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe hotel was very difficult to find, more clear and well located direction signs would be helpful. Although the room, bed shower etcx, were fine, not enough tea/coffee/milk was supplied in the room, care must be taken to ensure this derail is improved upon.
The food in the restaurant was very and the staff were efficient and personable; overall we had a good experience.

United KingdomSo, this is not the Ritz....the room was a lot smaller than we usually experience. Room 6 on the ground floor, when we first arrived, there was a group of people congregating outside the next room (Room 5) which was a little concerning, so we decided to look for somewhere to go to eat.
Shower facility was good, likewise the TV set-up was better than other hotels that I've stayed at. Bed was comfortable.
