Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe water didn't drain in the shower. A new toilet brush is overdue. The "petit dejeuner" is a little bit too "petit". Very small room with only very little space. In my room I had no place where I could sit and work a little bit with the laptop, only while lying in bed.
Very good location near the station at reasonable price, friendly staff.

NetherlandsThe only downside is that the mattress was a bit too hard so sleeping was not the best, but overall it is a good value for the price.
The entire hotel is fully renovated, the room was clean, neat and quiet. The staff was really friendly and location is excellent.

United KingdomNothing - was a walk from the station but was as I had expected.
Room and bathroom facilities were clean with a nice balcony . Coffee and toiletries were a nice touch as was the honesty box for drinks and water etc. within budget for Avignon for me after visiting if I’d had a higher budget would have stayed in villeneuve-les-vignon which was beautiful. Personal choice and would highly recommend hotel de belgique for a budget stay in avignon

GermanyDue to the proximity to the train station, the trains are quite noisy.
We had a good stay, the room was clean and spacious. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. Parking our bikes overnight in a safe and dry place was quite easy, the receptionist showed us a place in the hotel lobby. We had a good stay at Hotel Belgique in Menton.

RomaniaThe breakfast costs 6 euros and is continental and very frugal so we opted out. There is no elevator and there is a spiral staircase that can be a problem if you are assigned to the top floor and you have big luggage. Also, for some people, the noise from the numerous passing trains can be a nuisance if you stay too much in the room during the day, but at night there are no trains. As a note: you have to be careful with the arrival, because the reception is closed between 2 PM and 5 PM and you can enter the building only if you have a code (no worries, it is given by the host on whatsapp in case you arrive when the reception is closed).
The main advantage of this hotel is the proximity to the railway station: basically right next to one of the exits. It is very important if you want to do day trips by train to Nice, Monaco or to go to Italy by Ventimiglia. Impeccable sheets and towels, good water pressure and temperature for the shower and sink and decent size of the room. There are a couple of bars and pastry shops plus a Carrefour market in walking distance.

SwedenEverything was good but one thing was that the room wasn’t so sound proof. Example you could hear the person in the room next door to you.

We had a pleasant overnight stay at this hotel/hostel, it has basic amenities but very clean and the host is very communicative and reliable. Location of the hostel is right near the train station and within walking distance to city center with close access to the beach, stores and restaurants.

EstoniaReception is closed 14:00-17:00. They forgot to answer me and send door code. I needed to spent 2,5h at city with my luggage. Room doesn't have fridge or water heater. I booked a room with balcony, my room didn't have balcony. Bathroom is super small and old.

FranceFor 6 euros more you can also have the breakfast which could be convenient. I was not expecting anything fancy, but I think they could improve the quality of the products: at least a fresh croissant (the croissants smell weird)
The rooms are very small but clean. Close to everything (including the train station) but still I found it quiet. However, I wouldn’t stay longer than 1 night
