This place is marvelous value for money and just a treat to stay at. It really was a great way to have the South of France experience. The hosts are warm, friendly and very helpful. A lot of thought has gone into the place with the facilities and appliances on offer. The Rustrel village is quaint and has a bakery, bar and small super market with everything you need. There is also an amazing pizza place down the road. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Perfect for a peaceful couples break away. Could not fault anything. The house was perfect. Very clean and thought of everything you would need. Beautiful place. Lovely lady in the supermarket that spoke English was a bonus. I would definitely stay here again. Very recommended. 5 stars from us. Thank you Liedewy & Elske you were fab.

Beautiful niche in Rustrel, perfect base for exploring Vaucluse, Bonnieux & Roussillon

No aircon in the property, which we knew about, good room fan provided helped during 36C heatwave.

Met at the local cafe by the co-owner, who gave us a guided tour of the property. They have lovingly restored this stonebuilt house and pocket garden. Parking is free in the village close by (the campervan park was 5 min walk away and free)- not by the property as road too narrow. Kitchen and bespoke furniture built by the owners are charming and unforgettable. Small terrace outside ideal for breakfast with choice of sofa, loungers or upright chairs in a compact space. Upstairs spiral solid stairs with twin rooflights to bedroom and generous shower-room with gold wall! Shutters throughout with flyscreens upstairs for the heat. Very big bed is firm but comfortable, nice linen and towels. You'll never forget the old oak beam table. Rustrel has it's own swimming pool, bakery, mini-market and cafe etc. (No Bermuda shorts though) and is a good base for exploring Provence. Photos of local villages like Lacoste and Bonnieux.....and the lavender
