The location is central and a parking lot infront of the accommodation. An Irish Pub belongs to the hotel. Nice place that I can recommend. The room was cute and very clean. The staff was very friendly and well organised. It was only a single night that we spend in the hotel. We had a walk in the pedestrian zone staring frombthe hotel with a good choice of small stores. It was spring and the weather was perfect.

We are both in our seventies and our room was on the third floor. To access it we had to climb a winding spiral staircase which was not ideal especially with luggage.

The room was clean and had everything that we required. The bed was comfortable. It was good value for money.

Despite the description, there is no hotel parking, just a public car park opposite which is free overnight but exorbitantly expensive in the day as it is a short term car park. We parked at a park and ride car park near the station. Both car parks have security cameras. There are lots of stairs but that reflects the age and character of the property.

Central and close to the station and a quaint hotel dating from 1807 - eight years before Waterloo. Downstairs there is an Irish pub with great staff and a live traditional Irish music session on the first Thursday of the month.

I wasn't a big fan of having 1 big pillow in the bed, but that is a personal preference. I wouldn't recommend the pub for food perse but it wasn't bad.

The staff was very friendly and even offered to help me with my luggage. The room was a bit outdated, but spacious, the bathroom felt very clean and surprisingly modern. I liked that the windows opened towards a little courtyard so you always had fresh air and there was no noise from the pub below whatsoever.

The food was... okay. Not bad, but not really good either. The room was slightly noisy but that's more to blame on the guests then on the property.

We need to talk about the parking, the parking in Villefranche sur Saône is not convenient for long stays, overnight is fine, but during the day is too complicated, every 2 hours needs to be topped up, so don’t use it, get into your car and visit the lovely villages around.

The people(the staff) they are lovely, even under pressure from us, they were faultlessly polite. A big 10++ for them. The liberty pub in itself is quite nice, very popular with the locals and with good reason, go there even if you are not staying at the hotel.

At breakfast you sometimes had to wait for food to be replenished before you could choose your breakfast.

The location was within walking distance of the train station which was great. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Unlike many other hotels the bedside light was positioned so I could read in bed. The staff were always very helpful.
