Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesRooms were not renovated, especially bathrooms were very old, the shower height was so low that you can not stand, you have to sit in the bathtub to take a shower, bad old smell in the room, dirty staircase carpet, pillows bad quality and uncomfortable, the AC filter/grill stinks. we had a three bed room duplex, the AC grill is exactly the height of the bed so it blows into your face when you sleep, without AC it’s too hot. We slept unfortunately very bad.

FranceWe payed 300€ per night that was way too much and wasn’t really worth it even though hotel was fine. I blame the high season for that.
The hotel is clean and nice , perfect for those traveling by train aid it’s 5 min walk from the station.

United KingdomThe original room they gave us (room 165) was a 2-star hotel standard, maybe 2.5 star at best. I don't know how hotels get away with that, they have rooms of very different standard, from 2 to 4 star in this case, but they claim the highest of the two levels. The hotel is in close proximity to a very busy intercity highway and train line, noise is generally a problem however most people don't care about noise, I would say there is a big problem with noise pollution in that area (or many other areas for that matter, similar in Nice) coming from motorbikes in particular, but you can't blame the hotel for that, also as I say most people don't really care, only those of us who are very sensitive to noise suffer in silence.... No kettle in the room or any coffee/tea making facilities was a disappointment for a 'suite'
Very grateful to the hotel staff for transferring us to a much better room after we complained about a technical issue with the bathroom of the original room (no shower panel so very difficult to shower without flooding the bathroom). The new room we got was very nice, which they called a 'suite', but in my book that was just the level to be expected for a 4-star hotel room, with the exception that the bathroom was a lot bigger than the average. A suite would require a balcony (there wasn't in this room) and a lounge area, ideally separate from the main bedroom. The pool and gardens are very nice, but only suitable for evening (from 6pm or so) otherwise too busy. Hotel is quite close to the action, walking distance from the beach and the centre of Cannes.

GermanyIt’s a bit noisy being so close to the main road.
We were very comfortable at the Golden Tulip Cannes Hotel de Paris. Rooms were big, staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the pool was a big plus. We didn’t feel unsafe at all and there’s a different route to go from the city to the hotel at night if you don’t want to go though the underpass (as mentioned in a different review).

United KingdomOne room in our booking (attic room on the top floor) had a very out dated shower! The shower/bath would often run brown water and only a small handheld shower head that would effectively turn the whole bathroom into a wet room! The other room in our booking had a beautiful bathroom, a lot more modern and proper shower! It is a little noisy from the motorway and train station not far from the hotel. No pool bar as mentioned, often had to go in to the hotel bar to get drinks by the pool. Hotel bar was VERY quiet and would always have to ask the reception staff for drinks. No view from the balcony. No tea/coffee making facilities or room service which you’d expect from a 4 star hotel.
The pool area is beautiful and really makes the hotel! The rooms were nice and the overall feel for the hotel was good! Very comfy beds and the breakfast was decent! Although I do have some negatives, I would stay here again mainly because of the pool and comfort!
