Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaOur room was not ready at the normal check-in time, but after I mentioned that we were upset, the hotel apologized by giving us free breakfast on one of the days. The building is extremely old, which makes it charming but it could use a bit of renovation to be more like a 4-star hotel. We missed having any outside areas to sit during our summer visit (no balcony, garden or courtyard). We were not satisfied by the cleanliness of the shower.
The location was wonderful – walking distance to most Paris highlights. A vibrant and fun area but a quiet street. The room was very "compact" but comfortable and well appointed.

GermanySome people might prefer a larger room, but it was fine for me.
This is one of those small but high-quality Parisian hotels. The hotel has great service, including a 24-hour front desk and courteous staff that speaks multiple languages. The room was small but comfortable, with a good shower and several small amenities. I didn't eat breakfast here (because it was indoors and I'm careful about coronavirus), but I saw the breakfast spread, and it looked quite delicious. The location is excellent - it's right next to the Quai Voltaire, across from the Louvre.

United Arab EmiratesI came from Dubai. For the same price I paid for in this hotel, I get a big luxury suite in Dubai. I just felt the price did not justify the room size. It was extremely small and the view was pipes and walls.

Netherlandsthe room must have been the smallest hotel room I ever stayed in , even smaller then in a city hotel in Tokyo . you cannot bring a suitcase staying in this hotel , no space in the room for it . There is a very uncomfortable staircase up to the first floor . Elevator only from the first floor up .

SwitzerlandThe bottles of shampoo and shower gel in the shower were there, but empty. Small bottles of L'Occitane amenities were provided at the hand basin - but that meant getting out of the shower once I realised there was nothing in the bottles in the shower! If the hotel doesn't plan to use refillable bottles in the shower, they should be removed.
The location was perfect and despite being close to a main road, being on a small side street made it vey quiet. Meticulous care was taken to modernise the room while retaining the charm of the old building. For a central Paris hotel room in a historic building, the room was larger than I expected and very comfortable.

BelgiumRooms are rather small and a little outdated. Sofas in the lobby area are not comfortable. Heating in the rooms is not optimal. Stairs are steep and narrow.
This boutique style hotel is located in a safe, cosy district, in front of the house of the deceased famous Singer Serge Gainsbourg. It has an authentic ancient style and is nicely decorated. Staff is extremely friendly and forthcoming. Breakfast is simple but tasty. Excellent coffee!

United States of AmericaWhat makes this place exceptional is the location and the very attentive & welcoming staff. The location can’t be beat, especially if this is your first time and you want to hit all main attractions Central location, every Paris attraction is walking distance. Great upscale neighborhood, safe and lots of cafes & Paris life nearby (try Rue Bucci area & St. Germain neighborhood) yet all the major sites are just across the river. Walking everywhere was the best way to see the city and discover new things on every corner and also experience local life. Even going to Versailles was easy from here (8 min walk to Musee D Orsay train station & take train to Versailles). Staff was wonderful, pleasant, always asking how they can help. House keeping would even turn Air Condition on for us for when we get back, I guess they know Americans like that! The room was on the small side, including the bathroom, as some here have noted, especially if you used to big American chain hotels, but this is a hotel in the center of an old city, the room was very clean and well equipped and the bed was comfortable. After all we only used the room to sleep on! Overall this hotel was a really great value for the price and would recommend to all friends & family!
