Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Think they're might be a problem with condensation in the bedrooms as the windows were quite wet. Some areas had been missed with the hoover/duster. Not much worktop space for preparing meals. Dining table is a bit squished in.
Small but perfectly formed, everything we needed for a weekend stay. An easy stroll to the shops, restaurants etc. Really good to have a designated parking space. Good directions from the owner.

No net curtains so neighbours walking past could look in. Bedrooms didn't have black out curtains and due to outside lighting from a neighbouring property bedrooms were not dark enough.
Modern, clean, comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe space, excellent bathrooms, allocated private parking.

Everything was excellent, Trudy was a delight to deal with, very helpful. Very high spec. apartment, everything has been thought of. Very handy location only a 10 minute walk into town, very quiet area even with a main road close by. Private parking space is a big bonus, would have no hesitation in booking again. I've already recommended it to friends and family.

The location for our requirements was ideal, with the benefit of being nice and quiet. Everything about it was perfect for an away from home experience; comfortable, relaxing with added extras, including very welcome pint of milk for our first cup of tea. Thank you

The apartment is spacious and well laid out. Everything is clean and comfortable. The showers and bath are great with lots of hot water. We sat and drank our tea outside on the patio as the weather was lovely. The patio is at the front of the building and although quite secluded for meals it is better to eat inside for privacy. The dining table is large and the dining area very accommodating. The beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are good quality. As we were at the Convention Centre for a few days, the location couldn't have been bettered. Highly recommend this property.

The apartment was beautiful and felt very lux. It was so close to the conference centre. Lots of thoughtful extras like toiletries, coffee and even a pint of milk! Highly recommend this apartment 👍🏼

The ieaves could have been swept up in the garden and the paving cleaned. It didn't matter so much as the weather was bad but if it had been nicer weather it wouldn't have been pleasant to sit outside.
The location was excellent as it was so close to the shops, we could walk there in 10-15 minutes.There were plenty of eating places to choose from too, and the people are friendly.Great place for a short break.

Really nothing!
This is a wonderful apartment in a fantastic location very close to the conference centre. Spacious, comfortable, clean, well decorated and furnished. I was there during a cold snowy weekend and it was a welcome relief to come back to a warm non draft apartment. Trudy was also very responsive regarding a couple of enquiries I had. No hesitation in booking again in the future.

All was fine, no dislikes.
The apartment was first class in every respect. The closeness to the main shopping/ dining areas was a bonus, so to was the parking on site directly in front osf the apartment.
