Everything was perfect. We only wish we lived closer.

On arrival we were met with the lovely host Alison who throughout our stay was warm, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The house was immaculate, had many cosy places to relax and had spectacular views of the loch, mountains and garden surrounding the building. All food was fresh, great quality, sourced locally and made with love and attention to detail thanks to Yas. The beds were cosy and soft with the best quality linens and pillows, we felt like we had slept on a cloud. The hosts were very knowledgeable on the area and on what was available to see and do. My mum and I have disabilities that make our day to day life difficult but the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We felt so at home there and were enchanted by the views so will be returning as often as we can. Many thanks to Alison,Yas and the staff.

Pretty much everything about Altskeith House is perfect. The hosts were lovely, the location is stunning and the service was great. Both the evening meal and breakfast were really good. The room was exceptional with the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in. It was the perfect refreshing stay. Its rare to find somewhere that offers such an exceptional experience.

There was no tv in the room. We knew this before we went so it wasn’t a problem at all. We enjoyed the peace and quiet- but probably would have preferred to have a tv because we wanted to watch the rugby!

This was a beautiful spot! The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was really good too.

The location was amazing, by the side of a lake. It was a glorious day, and we could view the lake from the drawing room of the hotel. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. And good care to engage with the guests.

They were so incredibly kind and welcoming. There were great little nooks to tuck away and read on the main floor. And the breakfast spread was one of the best I had while in Scotland. There were only two other parties there during my stay, giving it an even more intimate feel. It a great place to unplug and unwind, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like about this hotel and it's location.

This is a lovely hotel. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived. The room was lovely, clean and decorated nicely. The views and grounds were absolutely amazing and it was very relaxing to sit out, enjoy the sun and relax.

The breakfast was amazing, the room was comfortable and the bath was perfectly sized also the views were beautiful. I stayed in a lakeside view room while me and a friend completed the NC500 and we were both impressed by the grounds, building and views!

We had paid for one garden facing and another lake facing rooms and had requested adjacent/nearby rooms to stay close as a family. However, we were provided two rooms in different locations, one in the main building and the other in a building extension/different building with separate access. Considering that we have grown up children, it was not a big deal. The room that we were in was really small and did not have enough space to place and open our luggage. The coffee maker tray was placed on the windowsill and did not have a table to set up nor a socket to plug in. We had to set up the coffee maker/water heater on the carpet floor. The queen size bed occupied the whole room. There was minimal space to walk around to the rest room on one side. It didn't matter as we were only spending the nights in the hotel.

The location is pristine and beautiful. Truly a serene vacation spot.
