Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

everything was great!
Location is great with pubs, supermarkets and restaurants at walking distance. To go to the center of London it took us less than 30min by subway or by bus (subway station is 1min walk from apartment and bus stations is 1min for West side of London and 5min to North side). Kitchen is fully functional with everything included, even coffee and tea :)

Ali, the guest, is a very nice lady. The apartment is clean, the beds are comfortable and there is everything you need if you want to cook in the kitchen next to the luminous patio. The location is great, 1 min walking to the closest tube station, and opposite it you can find a great farmers’ market at St Mark’s Church on Saturday morning.

This accommodation was excellent. It was so comfortable,clean,warm and had everything we needed. The owner was so lovely and had obviously put alot of effort into ensuring our stay there was comfortable. It was all the little extras that were so nice and welcoming. I will definitely return to this property when I go back to London. Its situated in a perfect location

We used the sofa bed as a bed so there was no comfy gathering/sitting space apart from the kitchen table (which was fine for our needs).
The flat was conveniently located a minute's walk from Oval Tube Station, it was very clean and well presented, and the owner kindly supplied kitchen basics and treats. The area around the flat was interesting to explore. There's a great park nearby, a Saturday farmer's market, and plenty of inviting restaurants, pubs and cafes including the amazing Adulis (Eritrean restaurant) and Cafe Van Gogh (vegan).

The location was great, Oval tube station around corner & multiple bus stops. Very well designed apartment, with everything you need, comfortable bed, great kitchen & washing machine a real bonus. Bathroom was great, plenty of hot water (3 of us) & good water pressure

No complaints at all - perfect
The location was perfect. Ali, the host was helpful and so friendly, this always makes a difference. We were able to drop our bags and just dash off to the theatre which saved dragging our bags across London. The apartment was perfect, the little touches made it exceptional - tea, coffee, snacks, water, bathroom items.......... I would definitely recommend as the ideal short break location for London - Tube station (Oval) just round the corner.

The bathroom fan was very noise, especially during the night, if bathroom needed to be used.
Very cozy and clean apartment situated just 30meters away from metro station in a very quiet area. The owner was very nice and helpful, she has given us all the needed information upon arrival.

everything was good.
Fantastic place to stay! Ali met us at check-in and later for check-out inspection; the added treats like beer in the fridge and fruit was so surprising. Excellent location near bus stops, Oval underground and Vauxhall for the trains. A bit noisy from the corner pub on a Friday night to be expected after a cricket match- they closed at midnight. Close to groceries and a fully stocked kitchen with utensils and appliances helped. We would stay again!

A blanket in the bedroom was too much heavy for us.
This was amazing stay for us in London in this particular place. Apartments are located extremely well - underground is just in 1 min walking. Everything was super clean. Kitchen is equipped with everything needed for self-cooking, and even more. Host is also very friendly and helpful.

very beautiful apartment, super clean. Ali is an excellent and a very thoughtful host. she was there to greet us and gave us a tour of the place. the kitchen was loaded with everything you practically need to cook a breakfast/lunch/dinner. Lots of sheets and can comfortably sleep 3 adults. All basic bathroom items were also loaded. the location is spot on with just 3mins walk to the oval train station. Ali even let us keep our luggage in her place after the checkout time and gave us an entire day to come pick up them later. We thoroughly enjoyed London and more so enjoyed our stay here in Ali’s apartment. thanks Ali for all your kindness.

The only thing that could possibly improve the flat's facilities is a bigger sitting area. The sofa is situated in a narrow part of the kitchen / dining area with no TV - so the only place to watch TV is in the bedroom. This wasn't a problem for our visit as we were out for most of the day and only used the TV late at night.
Ali was a fantastic host arranging to meet us at the property early in the day so we could leave our luggage, freeing us up for a whole day's sightseeing. She showed us around the flat, left delightful little touches such as food, drink and toiletries for the stay and explained where to find good local places to eat. The flat is warm, comfortable well- fitted out with cooking utensils and equipment and superbly located for Central London and the South Bank with less than a minute's walk to the Oval tube station.
