Other cabins or caravans had big dogs that were left to roam unattended and unsupervised. It is very dangerous for other dog owners if you don't see them coming. Luckily, we did. The only shop is about 10 miles out, so come prepared with everything you might need. Car park for cabin 7 is really hard to use as it's on a slope and not paved so the car can easily get stuck. Ended up parking up in front of an unused cabin.

There are a few sections of the decking that could maybe do with reinforcements or replacement.

Balquhidder will now always be part of our story. My partner and I got engaged during our stay. We have stayed twice now and just feel so comfortable and now will always have the memories of our engagement in the beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere.

We loved it all

We travelled to the lodge during a spell of miserable weather. With the right gear, we still enjoyed walks, ringo rides on Loch Earnhead, and relaxing in the hot tub.

The cabin had everything you needed. It was so cosy even in the rain and cold weather. The hot tub was bliss. Lovely walks nearby. Could not fault the holiday park.

Slight disturbance at night with the pluming or connection to hot tub, buzzing and what sounded like a generator powering on and off. Light sleeper but very aware during the night, wasn’t an issue during the day.

Property hidden in amongst the beautiful wooden surroundings. Lodges spaced out for privacy. Very clean and modern with all the essentials plus extras you’d need for a break away. Hot tub was a great plus used multiple times during our 2nt stay. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The cabin was covered in pet hair. TV free sat box did not work. Could also do with some black out curtains in the bedroom.

Large cabin with everything you need inside, hot tub was brilliant, location was great for hiking and remote enough to appreciate how quiet it is.

You mean what didn't we like! Absolutely nothing! Amazing place to relax and unwind for a few days. Always worth paying the little extra for the hot tub too. We stayed for an extra night and it was totally worth every penny. We even had a night with buddy the owners dog, who was just a friendly dog with everyone including our own wee dog and our toddler😊

Could be doing with a freshen up with paint and some of the blinds replaced.

The fact it was pet friendly and had a private hot tub on fenced terrace. It was a good size, nice and clean with fresh towels and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Also close to some great walks.

We have visited the cabins 3 times and each time have had the perfect experience. They are modern, spacious, clean and the hot tubs are huge. We usually travel in a group and the full party is always impressed with the quality. The positions of cabins is fantastic and offer complete privacy. We barely hear or see others on our stay, which adds to the peaceful retreat feel. It's easy to communicate with the staff/owners and they're always on hand if needed. Hot tubs are a lovely temperature and are ready to use on the first evening, which isn't always the case with other cabins we've been to. Good parking and can accommodate 2/3 cars. My favourite place to stay and relax. I'll definitely be back for my 4th stay!

Everything was great

We really enjoyed our stay here! The lodge is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, there are hiking paths around. The lodge has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay: coffee maker, dish washer, large dining table and huge tv, fire place, hot tub (even bath robe provided!), same games and activities and many more. The host was very helpful and left us plenty recommendations for the activities around. Definitely coming back!

Cabin was very warm even in very cold weather. Kitchen was fully equipped - we didn't want for anything. Whole place including hot tub was spotless. Nicely separated from neighbouring cabins though not completely secluded.
