Decor has seen better days, with DIY type repairs (wet wall stuck over tiles that were still visable, mismatched paint colours)

There was a box in the bathroom that made the loudest noise everytime you flushed the toilet, and it went off repeatedly when in the shower. You could hear it in the bedroom.

Nice big room, comfy bed and tasty breakfast.

No parking facilities on site unless you paid during daylight hours. Even then you were lucky to find a space outside the hotel. I had to double park overnight to load/offload cases. Free parking was available across the busy main road but not ideal. Especially when raining.

Room was large enough to perhaps have a comfortable couch for two instead of 'ottoman'. Breakfast choice of simple cereal and/or toast or a cooked breakfast from a good selection was very nice. The two Polish girls we met for reception and 'waiting' were very friendly and accommodating. Location for city centre was excellent. Easy bus ride or walk.

It was overpriced for what was, in essence, a Bed & Breakfast establishment in a goodish location. The small attic room, which I was allocated had some minor damp problems in the external wall back of the closed-in wardrobe, however there was also an open clothes hanging area in the room.

Clean and well-run hotel in a very nice location. Included breakfast was good.

The bed could have done with a mattress topper - it was pretty firm. Also booking.com said there was a coffee machine but there wasn't. There was a kettle but limited options for tea and coffee so I was glad I had brought my own. Also it would have been better to have had a mug instead of a small cup and saucer.

The staff were without exception friendly and helpful, and responded to every enquiry promptly. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The hotel was quiet and a 5 minute walk from the Botanic Gardens.

Unfortunately the room I was allocated had some issues. Most of the issues were due to the age of the building (built in the 1800s). The team were proactive in problem solving and did their best to make my stay comfortable. Be mindful that there is no lift, so if climbing stairs is an issue for you, let the team know during your booking process.

The location was ideal and accessible to both the University and Local shops and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and kind - Aga is a great host!

Our shower had a leak - which set off the fire alarm elsewhere in the hotel, as unknown to us the water was dripping through the ceiling into reception. Staff were very apologetic and gave us a free breakfast. But there's nothing more startling than having staff knocking on your door because the Fire Brigade had shown up outside to find out what's happening.

The hotel was located within walking distance of Oran Mor, where we had tickets for a music gig. The staff were friendly and the room clean and comfortable.

TV in room was a bit small, given the size of the room, but we weren’t there to watch TV!

Family room was a very good size. Double and two singles plus sofas, table and chairs and side desk. Room faced the main road, so traffic noise audible. However, we fully expected that given the location. Breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked. Staff very friendly and helpfully. Hotel itself located not too far from some of the major Glasgow attractions. If driving, be prepared to pay for road parking 8am to 6pm (Ringo app). There is also a 3 hour stay limit during the day.
