Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandNo restaurant in the evenings, but we were staying out of season.
Well-sized rooms, decent breakfast. We enjoyed the little swimming pool and sauna a lot, although those premises were a bit shabby.

United KingdomBit of trek to & from the station if coming by train, also seemed to hear every footfall & door close on my side of the hotel.
Very nice breakfast, helpful friendly staff. Beautiful view of the sea from the lounge area, where non residents could also come in to use the facilities. Also dog friendly.

United KingdomNo soundproofing in the hotel rooms, could hear every word that was spoken in the room above us, and they never shut up!
Friendly staff, good location although steep walk down the cliff to a restaurant as the hotel restaurant was not open. Excellent breakfast included in the price.

United KingdomThe lounge area near the bar not very big, but this hotel caters for large groups of people and a function was being held one evening meaning access to the bar was very limited if at all
This review refers to the Channel View Hotel, sister of the Brunswick, as we were transferred due to a water leak. Staff went out of their way during incredible high winds and rain to feed hotel guests in the evening even though dinner was not included normally .

United KingdomNothing really
Well we didn't actually stay at the Brunswick as there was a problem in reception but we were given a room at the sister hotel the Channel View. Having not stayed at either before I have nothing to compare it with but it was very pleasent and we got an upgrade on our room to a seaview as it was my husband 65th birthday treat. The staff were very polite and friendly and we loved the indoor swimming pool alow it was a tad cold but after the shock of getting in it was OK. Lovely breakfast in the morning with a sweet waitress.

All very good, including the invitation to go into the 80’s & 90’s Disco. Hotel great, but please note that we were transferred over to the Channel View and did not stay at the Brunswick. Staff were exceptionally helpful.

United KingdomNo restaruant. I picked the hotel thinking we would not have to go out for food perhaps on website missed that it had shut in May or there was no mention I saw. Also shame not more guests it was a bit quiet.
The room with the sea view really good, not keen on distressed furniture but all was clean, starting to look like needing refurb. Disappointed no restaurant for the evening meal. Breakfast was very good.

United KingdomThe hotel is a little outdated, especially upstairs and in the bedrooms - the downstairs looked relatively newly refurbished but we did hear that rooms are being redone imminently. King-size beds as standard would be better in all rooms if possible, however the room was clean and comfortable!
What a lovely little hotel!! We were slightly anxious ahead of our stay due to some negative previous comments, but honestly our fears disappeared as soon as we arrived and were welcomed into the hotel It's true what they say...you get what you pay for. It is a very comfortable 3* hotel made even better by the friendly staff - Joe in the bar, the new general manager, the front of house staff and the breakfast team. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice and variety in the continental section, and a delicious cooked breakfast made to order and served quite swiftly. The daily swim in the heated indoor pool was an absolute bonus!
