There was a fault in heating system so the radiators came on in the evening and morning which made the room too hot. The basin was very small and hotel smelt old and musty.

Heating on at set times and unable to turn off, bath tap faulty so unable to have anything but a cold shower, other room in our party no bracket to put shower head in and no shower curtain also issues with water. Problems only discovered in morning so unable to get sorted before leaving.

The bathrooms - but as said they were very clean. I suspect there are rooms further back from the road which are much quieter but it was still OK

The hotel was SO clean - gold star to the cleaners! The bedrooms were a very good size and well equipped and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The bathrooms were pretty old but again very clean The rooms were on the main road side so a bit noisy when the pubs/restaurants were emptying but otherwise no problem

The hotel needs of redecoration. Very creaking floors, no soundproofing. Light from the common corridor entered the room through a slit of the door. In the bathroom there is no hanger, no chair, no shelf to put clothes. And most importantly - the door between the bathroom and toilet. This is not a door, but a lattice, any privacy. Couldn't get comfortable water temperature in shower.

Location. Close to bus stop, all shops. We arrived early and were check-in without waiting. The staff is very friendly.

Room was small and although clean felt in need of redecoration. Carpet in bathroom always feels a bit unhygienic. Radiator in room on full and no obvious way to turn it down - very old Radiator and valve was seized - so room was very hot. In fairness I didn't report this and the very helpful staff would almost certainly have offered some solution if I had.

Looked like new carpet , new bathroom fittings , new kettle etc . Very clean and bed very comfortable . I was in single room 3 . No problems at all . On a break with friends . We did a lot of walking and had meals out . I was Pleasantly surprised .The receptionist we saw was very helpful and friendly . Excellent value .

I didn't like having to climb so much stairs as there is no lift. The building is a listed building and is not allowed improvements but I would stay again but hopefully on lower or ground floor. It was also short on plug sockets.

The hotel was in a great location. Close to Bus Station shops, bars, cafes and restaurants couldn't fault that. The room was warm and comfortable.

First few days were wet, cold and damp. No heating on, only briefly AM and briefly PM and no way of adjusting the radiator (as knobs removed!) So unable to dry wet clothes. Hot water was hit and miss.

Fantastic location. Wetherspoons 2mins walk from the hotel. Cheap as chips. Little dated but very comfortable. Spot on.
