Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Some areas could do with a bit of updating.
The apartment is close to the City Hall and shops / restaurants/ bars etc

Excellent location and able to walk from bus station. Hosts left wine & crisps also got my request of a birthday cake & presecco. Lovely apartment. Only marks off - no spare towels plus very thin, utensils/cups/glasses not enough (thankfully we eat out), duvet in wardrobe so could be added (cold in bedroom when we went to bed but understand not applicable all year round). Once these issues were addressed full marks! What a wonderful place Belfast is!

It did smell strongly of bleach (or some kind of cleaning product) on arrival which wasnt necessarily a bad thing and soon went when we opened the window. The apartment did seem to suffer from mould/condensation/damp although as we were only there for a week it wasnt a problem.
For our work comitments the apartment was fantastic and suited all our needs. Location was superb and within easy walking to food shop/ restaurants etc and also to the city centre. Also, when we had a slight issue the letting company were more than helpful in rectifying it.

Stais into the property could be a problem if you had mobility problems.
Centrally located, apartment was clean and quiet. Fully equipped kitchen. Property well laid out with a good shower. Great communications with host.

Tv with Netflix, everything is provided if you need a self catering apartment this is the one, comfortable beds!

For the picture perfect it would need a bigger bed.
The apartment was super cozy and it made us feel like home. There was everything we needed. The area was quiet and it took only a few minutes walking to get to the city centre.

The heat was off upon check-in. And it's January and extremely cold. It was slow to heat once we turned it on. Our first night was uncomfortably cold. We arrived late so there was no one to contact. The heat appeared to be completely off and the apartment sitting at 13.5C (58F). It took 2 hours to get to 17C (63F). The bedrooms felt warmer than the living room. So at least we slept ok. That morning we woke up to 16C (61F). What I learned about the thermostat was, trying for 21°C (70) was not enough. When I pushed the thermostat up to 25°C… It finally moved past 17 and up to 20.5 was the highest it ever went. Because the heat was completely off upon check-in, made it for an uncomfortable first night.
Very nice & clean apartment. Communication from Central Belfast Apartment team via email & phone was excellent!

Great location. Good sized two bed apartment for our short stay to visit the Christmas markets. (Two couples). Rental company very easy to deal with. Would book again!
