Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was made up every day and it was easy to come and go. On street parking was a bit hit and miss.

Nothing really
The room was rather small but it did have everything that I needed for my short stay and was clean. The breakfast was fantastic - 10 out of 10 for choice and quality.

breakfast, choice and quality. Rooms warm, comfortable and clean. As did not cater for other meals, plates and cutlery available to use s you could eat in the rooms.

The location was quite some distance from the train station/town centre but an excellent/frequent intervals local bus service takes one within 4 minutes walking distance to the hotel. Taxi/Uber also within a short call/booking away. The windows would have been better if glazed, as wind was escaping into the room thereby making the heating not as effective as it should be.
The professionalism, friendliness and politeness of the staff. The breakfast was delicious, freshly made organic produce and served at the perfect temperature. The rooms were comfy and spacious, clean water/tea/coffee provided, clean bathroom and ironing facilities available.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. There was a long black hair on the soap dispenser and the top of the plungers were not clean. I support refilling to help the environment but those plungers need to be sterilised.
No problems with self check-in. The breakfast was very good and Diane was a great host; very friendly. The room was a good size and very comfortable.

A bit noisy from the top floor on my second night, it felt like they were moving out No socket near the bed and no working fan in the bathroom.

Room leaked heat like the old property it was, even when the heating was on full blast. Shower temperature controls were fiddly and inconsistent to get anything other than pure hot or pure cold.
Lovely property, plenty of space, great breakfast wich plenty of choice. Simple check in and check out, and a great location for the conference centre.

The heater had a strange feature that turns itself off for a few hours in the middle of the night. Requested for it to be adjusted to run throughout the night, and it was fixed. Few restaurants and one minimart within walking distance from hotel. You need to take a bus to the town centre where Farnborough (Main) train station is, and many shops and restaurants are located nearby there.
Situated in a quiet, residential area away from the town centre. Good location for visits to Farnborough Int'l Exhibition Centre. It is an 8-min walk to the venue. Cooked breakfast was super, with good service provided by the breakfast ladies. WiFi was good.

Our room was at the front of the property, so there was street lighting leaked thru the sides of curtains. Maybe some way of tying the curtain against the wall would be a good idea . But this is a small suggestion.
Good location, the room was clean tidy , bed comfortable, shower good once you worked out how to use it , breakfast was spot on . As guests, we felt welcomed a good stay . Would recommend.

They rectified a small issue quickly with an upgraded room. Staff were helpful and friendly and at the end of the phone when needed. Rooms were well presented. Breakfast spread was good. Location easy to find.
