Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBooked hotel for 2 nights, upon arrival was informed we could only stay 1 night, had a panic trying to book a hotel for the next night, luckily we found a hotel close by for a reasonable price. I would have appreciated a call to say the hotel was only available for 1 night so I could have made arrangements prior to the trip as they had confirmed the 2 night stay before arrival? Staff slightly cold, didn’t apologise for the issue.
Great location, close to the underground and museum quarter. Rooms where great value for money and had all the amenities we needed. Would stay again despite issues with booking.

United KingdomNothing: it is in a great location for the Kensington museums. The rooms are fine, some small, but clean and secure.
The staff were great. I had a room that was unfortunately not soundproofed well and next to some boisterous football fans. The night staff arranged a new room for me at about 1am (as I had a very early exam the next morning) and were really supportive. I'm sorry I didn't catch the staff member's name, but he was great.

United KingdomThe room we originally booked smelt like stale cigarette smoke but we contacted reception and they immediately apologised and moved us to another room. The colours of the walls in the room made it feel a bit like a prison cell, but it wasn’t a problem just a preference. The hotel is on a busy main road so it was a little noisy at night but hey if you book a hotel on a big road like that what do you expect. It was a reasonable stay for a very reasonable price so we were mostly happy with the experience.
Great location, short walk to tube, the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful.

CanadaThe staff at the desk were fairly abrupt when discussing payment. I was ultimately double charged and needed to contact them via email to retrieve this money. The payment was back in my account in 3 days.

United KingdomThe room I got was next to the road, so lot of road sound coming. The biggest issue was I could hear the sound from neighbouring room, so there are issues with privacy. For me it was bit distracting as I wanted to study and wanted to have a good sleep. Rest it is fine.
The location of the hotel is very good. It is between South Kensington Station and Glouster Road station. The check in was smooth. Since I was staying alone just for a night, I liked the price. The room was clean with tea bags and kettle to warm water. Bathroom was also clean. Overall it is good if you are travelling for work and staying for 1-2 days.

United KingdomThe walls are thin so you can hear the tv from the next room, was annoying hearing the other guests watching football, the carpets are stained and could do with a clean and the toilet is very small but I'm tiny myself so I had no problems, other half wasn't as pleased. Parking costs £50 for 24 hours in a private car park or free on street parking is only available after certain times, I know this is no fault of the hotel but cheaper parking would of been great.
I booked a small double and was expecting the room to be very small but it was bigger than I initially thought, the bed is pushed against the wall but this wasn't a problem, window in the room was large, the en suite is great , shower is great, the bedding smelt freshly washed, bed was relatively comfy. Cleaners are Fab. Location was great couldn't ask for a place closer to the Natural History Museum, South Kensington station only a 5 minute walk away. Coffee and Tea making facilities in the room and a hair dryer also. The tv comes with free view channels.

New ZealandDont need a room with a window I discovered as the traffic noise is worse. A small room fridge would have been a bonus for milk etc.

AustraliaThe usual, budget accommodation problems. Traffic noise, thin walls, doors banging throughout the night.
On our arrival, the gentleman at reception greeted us warmly, helped us to store our luggage and assisted us with all of our queries throughout our stay. The hotel was clean throughout, the shower was hot and the lobby catered for guests needing somewhere to eat or fill up their water bottles before a long day of sightseeing.

United KingdomThe room had some small signs of wear and tear and there were a couple of tiny signs of the previous occupant but nothing that put me off.
Fantastic location, right opposite the natural history museum. The place was mostly very clean and tidy. They have a nice fish tank in the reception with a blue tang which I thought was cool. The staff were helpful 😊
