although we asked for the Flamingo lodge, this wasn’t allocated to us! washing machine wasn’t working and full of water, a couple of curtain rails broken, tv is on an angle, 1 x spot light missing above dining table, small leak from radiator in bathroom, outside door stop was not fixed to a wall, duvet was all torn in bedroom with single beds, external doors didn’t feel secure

The only thing I would have changed is where the hot tub was as the outside area was in the shade the majority of the day were all other families was in the Sun.

Nothing - all perfect!

The whole process from booking to check-out was hassle free, really good communication for check-in, instructions for whilst we were there and checking out. The Lodge was just as advertised (probably better!) - very clean, comfortable and very spacious. We all loved the hot tub. We had a great couple of days.

the outdoor decking could do with some improvement. the fencing was full of cobwebs . also the decking floor was was unclean. the umbrella outside was broken and when we called the maintainance number they said there is nothing they could do about it.

Good communication with the owners in terms of how to get checked in and procedures in place when leaving. Quiet location with a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for our New Years weekend away. Hot tub was lovely, will definitely be booking again soon

Everything was great at the lodge, the hot tub could be a bit more private. The fence by the hot tub was low and you can see into other gardens and others using their hot tubs. Also, better communication from staff, left a number of messages with staff and on answering machines in regards to the over payment for my deposit. After waiting 5 days, the transactions cleared but no response from the staff. So better communication between staff and those staying at the lodge.

Very clean and spacious, loved the easy layout of the lodge. Easily accessible to main areas such as the kitchen and bathrooms. Plenty of room especially as we had a baby with us, lots of room for all her things and travel cot. Hot tub was also lovely. The bespoke art in the lodge also added a nice touch, the lodge felt calming and relaxing with colours of blue and hints of mustard and had a modern feel. Really enjoyed our stay here and would like to come back.

There was damage to parts of the lodge that was a worry when you have a deposit of £200 on hold. They didn’t detract from our holiday but but if they had been acknowledged before our holiday it would have given us peace of mind rather than us having to report it.

The maintenance of the lodge needed attention. The ensuite bathroom door kept jamming shut, and the bedroom door handle was loose. One of the drawer fronts, needed screwing back on as it was loose. There was no rubbish bin in the kitchen, there was a place where it should have been, but no bin. The kitchen mixer tap was loose, we worried it would come off and flood the kitchen. The tv signal was poor on normal freeview channels, constantly breaking up. There was a satellite dish at the back of the lodge, but it wasn't connected. This would have solved the problem by using freesat. The table outside on the decking was broken, as was the umbrella. The water in the hot tub was never checked and ran out of chlorine tablets, so we did not use it on the last day. We reported these issues to reception who promptly sent maintenance to fix the doors and drawer front and the table on the decking. We had our small dog with us. It would have been better if there had been gates to stop him getting off the decking, as we had to improvise using chairs to contain him outside.

Lovely clean site, very quiet. The lodge had recently been decorated and refurbished, to a good standard. The hot tub and decking area was a good size. The lodge was clean on arrival, with the key left in the lockbox. The wifi was good.

This is my first complaint about a booking.com accommodation as previously had fab experiences. The lodge was NOT clean! The floors were dirty, there were toenails on the floor. They had not been swept or mopped. Dirty microwave, hob, radiator and worktops. Dirty bobbly sofa cushions, dirty tea towel, cracked drinking glass. No hand soap in the bathroom. Furniture was damaged and poor quality. Big rip in lino floor in bedroom. The lodge is NOT pet friendly, there is no gate on the decking so you have to keep dog on a lead or shut them in the lodge whilst you in the hot tub. Really disappointed as paid a lot to stay and I have delayed my review as I hoped the owners would respond to my private complaint before I posted a negative review, but they never did! I think it is a company that run and service the lodge and they do not care about your stay or your complaints. Read reviews for other lodges on this site! They have similar feedback to mine!

The hot tub was lovely and clean, but it was very exposed on the decking with no privacy. Even though previous people have mentioned this, nothing has been done. There is no screening.

Taps in the kitchen were loose and had to hold onto them when running the water. Toilet flush in main bathroom didn't work properly. Doors were awkward to shut and stuck. Hot tub hadnt been cleaned proper and had floaters in.

The lodge its self was very spacious and had potential to be great.
