Well organised hotel in beautiful location at a great price.

The en suite shower cubicle in the very small single room was suitable for a petite person only. A grown man might struggle especially if muscular. Or the larger lady. The mattress on the single bed was hard. It wouldn't put me off going to stay again to this lovely hotel but I would book a double room.

Friendly helpful staff. Well organised. Clean hotel. Nice white sheets and white towels. Great choice of cooked and continental breakfast. . Evening meal available. Lovely view from room. I was offered an upgrade to a larger room for $30 on arrival after booking a Single. As I was only staying one night and would be out of the hotel for most of the time I declined the offer but it was nice to be offered.

We loved Glaramara. The staff were professional, proactive, self-starters and charming with it. Rooms were cosy, modern and well appointed for plugs/USBS and lighting etc. Food was great and most of all the fresh vegetables in good quantities a rare treat. The owner is clearly very hands on keeping check and running the hotel with energy and passion

    N/A

Location - It is about 10minutes away from Keswick and 50minutes drive from Windermere by car. I would highly recommend the location, it's stunning and nice to have a break away from the tourists and the busy towns. Food - Highly recommend the breakfast, it is a buffet fry up and pastries but they provide plenty of additional options for Veggie's and Gluten Free's. Table service was a nice touch with freshly brewed tea/coffee and toast provided on request. We also choose to have dinner here, two course set menu, thoroughly recommend based on the quality of the food and service. There are also no other eateries in walking distance, so you would need to drive somewhere if you didn't choose to eat here. Facilities - Very homely, two lounges, one with a fireplace in. Both at the front of the building and provide brilliant views. Room - Bathroom was very modern, superb rainfall shower and a heated towel rail. Comfy mattress and pillows. The basic room was big enough to accommodate us, our luggage and for our dog to sleep in. I would recommend asking to be at the front of the property so you can wake up to the views. Dog friendly - Very dog friendly, a dog bed is provided, towel and water bowl. We had the option of leaving our dog in our room if we ate in the dinning room or we could bring him with us and eat at the bar. Lots of walks nearby too.

The shower cubicle in my room is too narrow, if I were more ample in size I would knock off the water controls whilst washing

Excellent breakfast, friendly especially Paula, I arrived exhausted and soaked through. The drying room worked a treat. The bar was well stocked and all the rooms were comfortable for relaxation . The hotel is ideally suited for the coast to coast and great value. I would recommend this to any traveler.

After a hard days walking a pool, spa, hot tub would be good to return to. I haven’t marked this down because we knew in advance these facilities weren’t available but they would further enhance a fantastic hotel.

Great location, fantastic rooms refurbished to a high standard, great spaces to relax, amazing views.

Evening receptionist . The way dinner was limited timings and only a fixed menu. Cistern issue in bathroom was dripping but was rectified by room change. This was well handled

Great location, 1 mile from Scafell pike so can walk there. Food was very good. Room was clean, tidy and modern. Nice log burner with sofas to relax on, looking out onto the hills, after a long day hiking. Would stop here again definitely. Thanks
