Hosts Claire and John were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Informed us about places to visit and events in the village. Beautiful property in a lovely location. Spotlessly clean, bright, spacious, warm and cozy with everything you need. It was so relaxing and peaceful after long days out. Could not fault it and highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful and well equipped cottage. Rural location so quiet and restful. Lovely patio and garden with seating. Large, fluffy towels. Two full bathrooms with lots of hot water. Plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery. All areas were super clean. Welcoming and friendly host is next door so on hand for any queries or if you need assistance.

Great property in a great location. We found everything clean and well organised. Garden was very nice and the facilities were very good. We visited the Burghley Horse trials. It was only 30 mins away along scenic and traffic free country roads. Great mini holiday for us.

Beautiful property in a very pretty and quiet area. Spotlessly clean. The private garden was very special and really added to our stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable (and I usually have problems with beds wherever we go). It was nice to have the option of a separate living room, although we spent most of the time in the kitchen area as the sofa and day bed were so comfortable. The host could not have been more welcoming and helpful, even helping with our bags. Would really recommend staying here and we will be booking again.

Everything was exceptional.

It was really lovely to have such a personal touch. John was always popping his head out to see if we needed anything. The garden was incredible and the house perfect for our family of 3 kids & 2 adults. I wasn't expecting such a peaceful, beautiful area. We will definitely be back.

Our stay at Swinstead was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, Claire and John, the owners, went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met and their thoughtfulness extended beyond providing a comfortable stay. The lodge itself was absolutely charming, offering a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that made us feel at home. The attention to detail in every aspect of the accommodation was absolutely spot on, from the lovely decorated rooms, fun family games, great selection of books to the well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful garden. They were gracious and accommodating, ensuring that our stay remained stress-free and enjoyable throughout. Our stay in Swinstead was an absolute joy. Everything was great.

Hosts were extremely helpful, but discreet. The property is well equipped and comfortable. The garden is lovely and the views of the stars at night were superb. We walked from the door, and enjoyed a beer in the friendly pub garden. Pleasant visit to Grimsthorpe Castle made a nice day out.
