We didn't like leaving!

Each corner of this charming B&B exudes tastefulness and thoughtful design. It's evident that the owners have poured their hearts into creating this inviting atmosphere. Unbeknownst to us at the time of booking, we later discovered that they were the proud winners of the 2020 Four In A Bed series on Channel Four. Intrigued, we tuned in to watch the episode and were delighted to recognise the room we had the pleasure of staying in. It was reassuring to know that we received the same level of exceptional care as those showcased on television. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the delectable Full English breakfast, a true culinary delight. Without hesitation, we highly recommend this B&B for an unforgettable stay.

The bath was enormous and a real treat but I would have loved the option of a free-standing shower too.

I felt at home from the moment I walked through the door until the owner said goodbye at the door for my departure. The breakfast was exceptional - truly up there with some five star hotels.

Small things, there were cobwebs in the window and when we arrived there was very loud dance music playing in the room above us (quietened down after 15 minutes but we did initially think we'd made a big mistake booking - Thank goodness those guests went out and it really wasn't the hotels fault)

The location was great, near the pier, overlooking the beach/garden square. Decor was great. Excellent mini bar in the room and the fridge was big enough for a bottle of wine. Lovely, stylish shower room, very clean. Great breakfast!

It would be churlish to say anything negative about this b&b. Beverley and the team are doing a great job. Of course it’s a ‘city’ hotel so parking isn’t always easy.

The room and bed was very comfortable with great views. A couple of feather pillows wouldn’t go amiss. Plenty of instant hot water in the bathroom. Breakfast was worth getting up for!!

Stayed at Hastings House with 2 friends the night before we took a professional exam. Amanda was so welcoming and all the rooms were beautifully decorated. The location was right by the sea allowing a lovely evening stroll by the beach. In the morning Amanda prepared a lovely breakfast and ensured my travel to the exam went smoothly. Thanks so much Amanda, we all passed!

Didn’t like the open bathroom (no door) it was a bit of a surprise, never experienced a room like that before. So make sure you don’t go for a basic room if you do book here.

Impossible to organise in a Victorian building, but a lift would have been nice...

We were cheerfully greeted by our hostess, Beverly, who took great pains to ensure that I was made comfortable, and that my mobility issues were catered for. Open and fun, we felt she was really sharing her house with us. Full of local knowledge, she recommended an excellent hostelry, the St Leonard Public House on London Road where we drank aperitifs before our evening meal at the Saint Clements restaurant. The full English breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. Highly recommended.

A beautiful period townhouse located just a few seconds from the seafront. Our room was very well decorated, as was the dining area. Breakfast was super, freshly prepared and with plenty to choose from. Most importantly, the host and staff were incredibly welcoming and also very helpful with local dining recommendations.
