Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandWe had a view facing a brick wall. Furniture was extremely basic, so was the decor. If you think you'll feel like a landlord while staying here, you can forget about it!
For what they charge you, I was expecting something bombastic and got a very basic room, one I'd expect from a Holiday Inn and not an antigue, fancy manor. The room and bathroom were clean, the beds comfy, breakfast was good and that's about all there is to it. I guess it's aiming to please corporate events and not individual clients.

United KingdomThe instructions for the coffee machine were not correct had the duty manager up twice then had to google how to use it. Would prefer simple coffee sachet. We were on the front and there were people smoking directly under our window so could not open the window and it was very hot.
The character and the setting.

United KingdomAlthough the bathroom seemed to have been refurbished, the silicone in the shower was dark in some areas. I am not sure if anti-mold silicone was used. Some aspects of the walls in the room (102) were cracked and could use a fix. At night, when we had a meal in the restaurant the Lamb Rump was not very warm sadly and the staff seemed stressed (the restaurant was full) but the nibbles and the other main course were lovely and everything tasted well. The staff was always nice despite being stressed.
Great hotel for a nice relaxing retreat. The Spa is lovely and has plenty of different areas we can attend such as an heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, tepidarium, steam room, sauna, sensations shower. The breakfast is quite good and the chef can cook a few things on the spot if you wish. The bed was extremely comfortable and the TV had a good size, quality and large amount of tv channels available.

The room was beautiful and the property was very lovely. Great area and the spa was relaxing. At breakfast, good variety of jams and spreads.

United KingdomThe only thing we don’t like was that our room had a frosted window that looked into some kind of redundant yard. The room felt very dark and claustrophobic because of this. We felt £160 for this type of room was not value for money. A lesser charge and notification of room position would’ve avoided our disappointment.
Lovely sweeping old Manor House. Beautiful grounds and location.

United KingdomI was surprised to find the cooked breakfast required extra payment on top of a B&B rate that I had already paid. The cooked breakfast wasn’t anything special either so I thought the extra cost was quite cheeky.
I chose this hotel mainly for its location.

United KingdomAll good except for other guests who were noisy after midnight having a heated argument in the corridor. Turned out they were US army personnel. They need to be more mindful of other guests.
Great room, internet, breakfast, etc but worth you avoiding little toiletries in plastic wrapping - all adds to single use throwaways. Is there a local maker worth partnering with who uses more sustainable packaging?

United States of AmericaReception area is a little non descript, we arrive when there was a full blown wedding going on and thought we had walked into the wrong area. The key cards for some reason didnt work, we must’ve had 4 attempts at changing them .
Room, very clean, breakfast was excellent, service a little slow. Dinner was very good although for some reason my food did not arrive and by the time I got it everyone else had eaten, I was offered a free drink to compensate, but feel that my meal should’ve been free. I only ordered the chicken with salad. When it did arrive it looked like a plate of grated carrots!!!

United KingdomBooked rose petals and chocolates on arrival, was charged for this when I arrived but had not been done. Chocolates were then sent to the room that looked like there were leftover from someone else plate. Room was freezing, had to ask twice for someone to come look at it. In the end was left with little electric radiator. Bar, evening meal and breakfast, staff seemed over run and not enough capacity to manage volume of guests. Evening meal was cold food on hot plates, had to request service each time.
Spa facilities were lovely, nice views from window in hotel room,
