We had a lovely stay at Hazelwood Farm. Annette looked after us very well offering us tea and cakes on our arrival and a hearty breakfast in the mornings. The room was lovely and clean, the bed really comfy. Hope to return in the future.

Nothing for me. My room only had a shower so if other visitors prefer a bath maybe other rooms have them. The track to the farmhouse isn’t terribly well signed from the main road.

One of the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The choice at breakfast had to be seen to be believed; the bedroom was luxurious with a fine view over farmland to distant York Minster; peace and quiet was terrific; and the hostess wonderfully welcoming. She also went to great trouble to provide for my rapeseed oil allergy. Great attention to detail too like an extra hot water pot with the tea pot.

Our stay was excellent, we wish we had booked for more nights. 'Netty'was a wonderful host, she has thought of everything and the welcome tea and cakes were lovely. We would certainly book again and recommend Hazelwood farm to anyone. Thankyou so much.

Absolutely nothing.

We loved everything about Hazeleood farm. Annette was so lovely, nothing was too much trouble! We were greeted with tea and cake, which made myself and my wife VERY happy. Who doesn’t live fresh homemade cake :) The farmhouse and grounds are incredibly beautiful. Our breakfasts were incredible, fresh, tasty and so much choice, I love the overnight oats. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, so comfy and accommodating! There even Netflix in your room :) oh and fresh flapjacks in the room to though with a cup of tea! We felt utterly spoilt and didn’t want to leave. Please, if you’re going to York.. BOOK THIS B&B!! Some of my friends have already booked :) Thank you so much Annette, we can’t wait to return :)

The host was incredibly warm and welcoming even before my arrival. Great communication and a very genuine person, who went out of their way to ensure my comfort. The room was fantastic, beautiful, comfortable, very clean, and had everything you needed. Even its own little fridge with fresh milk! The shower room was a good size, great hot and powerful shower, with really lovely toiletries. The setting was peaceful, but not too far from shops, places to eat etc.

Fantastic views , immaculate, easy to find , welcoming , coffee, tea,cakes on arrival , great conversation, knowledgeable about the weather and the northern lights and the world . The room had a double shower and Netflix ( not got this at home 🤗)hot choc tea,coffee,milk ,fridge,bottled water and flapjack in the room .Breakfast outside if you want to sit looking at the great outdoors, we chose the indoor with a very tasty perfectly cooked full breakfast with warm plums, prunes and yogurt to start , no room for toast or any pastries Thankyou Nettie x

They went out of their way for him, made arrangements for him to have breakfast early before he had to leave for work which was great. Thanks very much. Absolutely everything about the place was amazing! It was the best B and B I have ever stayed in and I've stayed in quite a few. .Annette was so warm and friendly and welcoming when we arrived . We were given a lovely plate of mince pies biscuits and cakes with hot chocolate and shown to our rooms which were so cosy and comfortable both with en suite. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious - a really wide selection of fruit cereal yogurt and various toppings as well as a full cooked breakfast . Annette even made us bread rolls that we could take for our lunch . The farmhouse had wonderful views across the countryside and I went for a lovely walk across the fields before breakfast . We absolutely loved staying at Hazlewood and would definitely like to come back . Thank you so much !

Recommended BnB! Annette was so welcoming, and just the loveliest host. Everything was clean, lovely decor and the drinks and cake on arrival in the fab parlour were a fantastic added bonus. The room was perfect, a stunning view and a great bathroom with big shower. Breakfast was delicious!
