Only a minor point, we stayed in one of the annex rooms outside the hotel, the room numbers could have been better labelled.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Set on a golf course, beautiful surroundings, peaceful & well kept grounds. Great location for Hunstanton. Staff were lovely especially the ladies on Reception. Great breakfast.

The staff are not very welcoming not just one but nearly every person was either stuck up or looked like they didn’t want to be there. Also received a call after we checked out accusing us of taking the key with us . Then they called back 30 mins later left a voicemail advising they had found the key

Was in a building away from main building up stairs Bed was good big bathroom

    A relaxing and enjoyable stay

The room was in one of the bungalows upstairs and was east facing. The curtains are quite flimsy so we got "blinded" both mornings (very early!) when the sun came up. Blackout blind/curtains or thicker curtains would be far more preferable. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh; however, on the 2nd morning, the staff did not seem to be as "on the ball" as the day before and things like bowls and side plates for cereal, fruit and continental selection were not being replenished quickly enough. We had booked dinner with friends for the 2nd night and generally the food was very good. However, I had the burger and was totally underwhelmed. The service was also very slow and it took nearly an extremely long time before someone came to take our dessert order. We finished dessert 2.5 hours after the start of our table booking.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful, the room was very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed with a very powerful over-the-bath shower attachment. The cooked breakfast is extremely good. I had the full English on the first morning and the smoked salmon and scrambled egg on the 2nd morning. The scrambled egg was cooked to perfection! The toaster (being one of those conveyor belt-type ones) was the best I'd encountered, ever - the toast came out perfect 1st time, without having to put it through again like I have had to do in so many other places. Small pleasures! The setting is lovely, with manicured gardens, a golf course and a big pond at the front. We were delighted to see a mummy duck with 12 ducklings relaxing by the side of the pond! If you are so inclined, it's only a relatively short walk across the golf course to reach Hunstanton or Heacham beach.

Unfortuneatly the room we stayed in was too hot, even with the window open, and the thermostats turned to zero.

The breakfast and dinner were first class, the setting was first class.

Some staff on reception and in the bar did not appear to have been adequately trained in customer interaction, they did not acknowledge our presence on arrival at reception or at the bar for some time.

Food was of excellent quality, really good choice. Dining room spacious with lovely view. Bedroom was comfortable with a large bathroom with bath and shower.

I have one slight niggle and that's not being able to leave bags at the hotel before check in. This meant having to leave belongings on show in the car whilst we went to the beach.

The hotel is really nice and the staff are excellent. I have a very hyperactive child and the staff were extremely supportive.

Great hotel, fantastic breakfast, very comfortable beds. Only grumble is to bare in mind it's a golfing hotel so don't expect a lie in lol. That said, many similar but all in all a very pleasant stay.

Our room was over the function room so on Saturday evening we could hear noise from the private party.

Beautiful surroundings. Historical property. Generally Quiet. Very comfortable and warm. Large room with views over the garden. Restaurant with an optional vegan menu and delicious food.

We stayed in a cottage suite. It was very spacious although rather tired, it could definitely do with updating particularly the bathroom and kitchen where things were broken and malfunctioning.

The main property is gorgeous in beautiful surroundings.

My wife is vegetarian and was disappointed not to have at least one vegetarian option on the main menu, the only none meat or fish options were on a separate vegan menu, so nothing for a vegetarian! This could easily be rectified and was the only disappointment in what otherwise was a good all round hotel.

Good location, friendly and efficient staff with the bonus of a golf course on your doorstep. Breakfast good with plenty of options.

Classy old hotel, with great breakfast

The only negative - and this is down to,personal taste - is that our room felt fuddy duddy with its dated dark brown furniture and olive green walls. It also seemed a bit odd to have a shower over the bath plus a separate cramped shower cubicle, with an awkward high step up into it. Parking was limited… fine when we arrived. But there was an event on in the separate conference area, and guests had filled their own conference parking zone, plus the regular hotel parking. So on checkout day, we were parked a long way away in a grotty overspill car park, which meant carrying our bags a long way.

It is a stunning old property, Accessed by driving down a lovely private driveway passing by a Duck pond…. Felt very upmarket. The breakfast was top quality.. nice little touches like homemade granola. Room was big, and had a separate table & 2 comfortable chairs… great for checking emails etc, rather than sitting on the bed.

I had problems with the WiFi reception in the cottage suite but in other areas it was fine. As on a break it wasn't an issue for me and I didn't trouble the hotel reception about this: I expect the world to manage without for a couple of days and ignore emails etc.

Cottage suite was excellent, comfortable very clean and cleaning service was excellent. Breakfast had a wide variety to choose from the buffet section and the "full English" was first rate. Staff very very pleasant, helpful and friendly making for a very enjoyable stay.

Room was far too hot. Had window wide open the whole night. This was a top room of a cottage type of property. Had to walk in the wind and rain to get to main house for meals. This is okay if one is not attending a special occasion, but one can be a bit dishevelled by the time you get there.

The main building and location gave one a sense of luxury. The evening food at the Mulberry Restaurant was superb.
