There was nothing we found to our dissatisfaction

Holly Hill House is located in a great spot with a fantastic view over Richmond and its castle. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and that included the new owners whom we also met. The food was very tasty and great value for money. We chose this location for a hiking trip as it was close to public transport connections. The accommodation also welcomes dogs which means it will appeal to more people

Our room had no opening window, except in the en suite. It was stifling the first night. We were provided with a fan, but this was noisy. Didn't sleep much the first night. Second night was cooler No problem sleeping then.

The friendliness of staff. Their welcome and during breakfast. The room was light, spacious and modern with lovely views. The bathroom large and clean. Breakfast exceptional. Lots of parking. A good price, excellent value for money.

nothing really. it seems like Holly Hill management and staff have had a tough time recently and we were surprised by some less than flattering reviews. what we experienced was a fabulous team, all very keen to make our stay a good one

we were in Richmond for a wedding and Holly Hill was recommended. we couldn’t have been made more welcome by everyone, just perfect for such a happy occasion

Nothing really, just a shame about the kitchen/food/staff situation.

Our room was spacious and had a lovely view. We were impressed with the friendly, young staff working under awkward circumstances.... we understood the chef had departed and so they weren't able to offer cooked food. However the continental breakfast provided was more than sufficient. A really nice place to stay.

For the price of the over-night stay we were very satisfied, so no criticism

Hving a room where dogs are allowed. Wld be nice to keep a few rooms without pets allowed but that's my preference as I'm allergic to dog dander.

The breakfast. No cooked breakfast (apart from DIY toast). However, there was a nice choice of cold meats, cheese, fruit etc, on two of my three days. The middle day there was little of anything. Not even a bowl for my cornflakes, and no milk to put on them either. The coffee was nasty instant.

Great location and a room with a view. A large, clean, bright comfortable room with a spectacular view. The bed was fit for a prince!
