Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe lack of cleaning supplies. Not something we would care much about, but if you stay for a couple of nights with a small child, accidents may happen and a mop or some floor wipes would come in handy.
Remote enough to give you privacy and quiet but close enough to take a day trip to some nice places. Nice space outside to enjoy some snacks, drinks or a book and for children to run around.

It was so peaceful and the lodge beds were the best I have slept in when away from home, the lodge was very nice. I would have liked more dinner set rather than only having 4 of everything as I hand wash each day rather than put a dishwasher on with only a few places and cups

United KingdomVery happy with everything.
The setting is stunning, nestled in the middle of the beautiful countryside on the side of a hill - it felt tucked away and private but close enough to the village and neighbouring towns. The lodge itself is spacious, warm and cosy. A well equipped kitchen and clean bathroom. We had a really comfortable stay. Some lovely touches including a bird watching book and binoculars, welly stand and digital flame effect fire. The decor was lovely - very homely.

It’s our favourite place to visit and the hosts always put a personalised touch to it when it’s been for an occasion. This time it was for our mini moon after our wedding and they set it up beautifully. Thank you for making our stay so special.

United KingdomN/a - we would normally stay in dog friendly locations but it gave us a chance to explore without our dog for a change, which was nice!
We liked that we were able to come/go as we pleased, the privacy of the each lodge. It was quiet and handy to lots of locations (Bath, Stourhead, Longleat). Really cosy and comfy.

The location was so peaceful and the lodge was beautiful. Only 3 lodges in total so a really quiet place. The location Is perfect, a quiet rural village within a 30 minute drive to Longleat, wookey hall, and all the places you want to visit. Weston super mare within the hour I'd guess. Lovely place will return again.

United KingdomBeautiful lodge with perfect location for visiting the area such as Bath & Longleat Safari Park. Quiet location with ample parking and hassle free check in and out, couldn't have been easier. One suggestion would be to possibly add a coffee machine as being a coffee lover it would have been lovely to sit and watch the wildlife in the morning with a nice coffee but it didn't detract from my enjoyment and I'd certainly come again. Highly recommend.

United KingdomWe loved everything!
The lodge and gardens were welcoming and peaceful. The surrounding countryside and villages are beautiful and the location well placed for visiting Frome, Wells Cathedral, Cheddar, Glastonbury and Bath. The lodge is a perfect cosy retreat and the covered outside area great on rainy days. We had a lovely family holiday.

Absolutely stunning lodge, It had everything needed, and more for a stay away, wonderfully comfortable beds & sofa, shower was great. So many little extra touches that we didn't expect made the lodge so homely and comfortable. Beautiful location, the grounds and parking area maintained beautifully. Loved watching the birds on the feeders each morning using the binoculars provided at the lodge. We had an amazingly comfortable stay here! Hollybush lodges really exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely return. Highly recommended 👌

United Kingdom- The wifi wasn’t reliable and we couldn’t get the smart TV to work. - Larger towels and a tea towel would have been good (but I appreciate this is personal preference/a very minor observation).
We booked all three of the cabins for a family trip - from here we spent our days at Longleat and in Bath (both approximately 20-30 minute drive away). The cabins were in a rural, quiet location which was very relaxing. The properties were all immaculate and comfortable. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain during our stay but the garden area would have been a lovely place to spend some time in the sun. Check in and out process was very straightforward. Really nice touches from the hosts for our arrival. I would not hesitate to recommend and would be more than happy to return!

The accommodation was brilliant. You can tell the owners want to give you the best possible experience and have real pride in their venue. It was Clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable and every little detail had been thought about. The extra little decorations here and there and the Easter egg on arrival were all features that make this place stand out from anywhere else we have stayed. I would definitely stay again and for even longer next time.
