Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was not clean when we arrived. The bed sheet and comforter were itchy so I asked for new sheets and pillow cases on our first night. And in our last day, I removed all the sheets just to make sure that they would changed it for the next user. Then I saw that the mattress and pillows were so dirty and it was so disgusting as the user. The mattress had no cover.

United KingdomThe room was filthy, the shower was mouldy. The hallway leading to the room was dirty. The matter was so lumpy and hard, I couldn't sleep. Also it's on a main ambulance route to the hospital, so all night long sirens were going off outside my window, so if you're looking for a quiet night, this is definitely not the place. I could not get out of there fast enough in the morning.

United KingdomWe were told that cleaning and building works were being conducted and that the room would be available from 1pm. We came at 130 to check in and told that the work was not ready. We had to sit outside or on the floor of reception with no chairs provided only to be given a room with was covered with bodily hairs, dust and only extremely basic furnishings. There is NOTHING about this room that warrants a £71 price tag. As a continuation please see above. Staff knocked on the door at 2330 this evening and told us that we must leave by 1000am. It is completely unacceptable for a male staff member to be knocking on our door at this time (Additionally another issue, there are no phones in the room.) This person also accused us of smoking in the room, which we did not do, and there are other rooms on this floor which may have been the culprits. Surely if we had been smoking the smoke alarm would have gone off? Another issue which leads me to believe that NOTHING here works- facilities, staff and customer relations. They also said tonight that there is nothing they can do working with the people here and it must be handled with booking.com. I find this business practice completely unacceptable and I highly recommend that you revaluate your association with this hotel as they are two faced, unreliable and dishonest. We have dealt with three members of staff here so far and all of them have placed the blame on ourselves rather than accepting responsibility for the continued failings of their workplace, which pays their bills. No compensation has ever been offered for the hardship that myself and my partner have endured due to management and staff failings who refused to ensure that our stay was pleasant. There is such a lack of training on part of the staff which shows me that the management is not taking the role they have as valuable. Disappointed is a major understatement and £71 is a lot of money for a lot of people.
Not very much. Location to the station was really the only redeeming feature. Room was under construction and when we finally got in, was covered with dust to which I am highly allergic. My partner has severe medical issues including epilepsy and partial vision and she is experiencing severe problems which would mean moving to a more suitable property very difficult. We asked upon reception early this afternoon if we could extend for one night due to these conditions and asked if the room be compensated due to the problems we have already mentioned to numerous staff members. As I have mentioned, the room is extremely dusty, There is not a mirror, desk or a chair in the room either. We mentioned these things to the staff and they asked if it said on the booking form if there was a chair. I don't actually feel that a hotel charging £71 per night should be without a chair or make out that it is my fault for not checking there is a chair in the room. Additionally, we have personally fixed a broken door (including a security system that was faulty), Fixed a broken window and retuned the television, all things that should have been done prior to our arrival and allowed into the room. We have paid less for a hotel 5 minutes down the street with far better facilities (microwave, mini-fridge, working facilities). I would also like to mention that the bathroom stench is horrible and we have done our best to deal with that by my partner's medical conditions include two failed rectal prolapses which make her urgency to the bathroom IMMEDIATE and without question. There are other properties locally to this area for similar prices have shared facilities which is not an option. We then spoke to one of the staff at 2030 this night and told her that we wanted a night gratis due to the litany of problems we have experienced. She said to come down to reception tomorrow morning and speak to the manager.

IrelandThe room looked like it had been fixed by Mister Odd Job. Some works were in progress, which did not cause any inconvenience. There is the expectation that when a place is called a 'hotel' it has certain standards. Airbnb seems to be ahead of the curve.
At least I found somewhere to stay and was near a high street but thankfully not on top of it.

United KingdomThe carpets were not vacuumed when I checked in. Window in the toilet cannot be closed, it gets very cold at night. The hairdryer is not working. There are some mold in the shower and toilet is stained. I guess you get what you pay for considering it is very cheap for central London. However, it should be minimum standard for any hotel to get a clean room. Since I would much rather prefer to stay in a cheap private room than sharing a room in a hostel, this probably compensates for my low standards than the average tourist. I think it's fine for one or two nights, but there's no room service so might not work for long stays.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location, close to Tesco, Starbucks, Euston Station, etc. Very cheap with respect to other hotels in Central London. I paid about £45 per night for an ensuite private room.
